Amid the reports of alleged mob violence in &nbsp;Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan targeting foreign students, the Kyrgyz foreign ministry on Saturday assured that the situation was under control hours. The development came after the Indian Consulate in the country issued an advisory for its nationals to stay indoors,&nbsp;
The Kyrgyz government reported that about 15 locals sought medical check-ups following a recent incident, with no fatalities among foreign students. The Kyrgyz foreign ministry stated that law enforcement agencies promptly detained those involved, including foreign and Kyrgyz citizens. The situation is now under control, with the safety of citizens and public order ensured. Meanwhile, the government urged media and foreign diplomatic missions to refrain from spreading false information.
In a statement, the Kyrgyz foreign ministry said that "destructive forces are deliberately disseminating untrue and false information" about the situation in Bishkek. It said the situation in the city is "calm and under full control", adding all necessary measures have been taken to ensure security.
Earlier, reports indicated that several Pakistani students in Bishkek were injured in mob violence late Friday night after a brawl involving Pakistani and Egyptian nationals. However, no deaths have been confirmed.

The number of Indian students in Kyrgyzstan is estimated to be around 15,000. It is not immediately known how many of them are in Bishkek.

India has issued an advisory urging citizens in Kyrgyzstan to remain indoors following attacks on foreign students. The move came after several Pakistani students were injured in mob violence at their hostel.
The Indian Consulate, via social media platform X, reassured that while the situation is presently calm, students are advised to stay indoors and contact the Embassy if needed.&nbsp;

Reports circulated on social media alleging three Pakistani student deaths in the attack, but the government clarified no such reports had been received. The violence erupted after videos of a fight between Kyrgyz and Egyptian students surfaced on May 13.
Attacks targeted hostels of medical universities in Bishkek, housing students from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
The Pakistan embassy in Kyrgyzstan confirmed attacks on hostels and residences, with reports of light injuries to Pakistani students. However, they noted no confirmed reports of deaths or sexual assault on students.

An out-of-control ice cream truck crashed into a group of children in Kyrgyzstan on May 2 during a cultural festival in a mountainous area. Local media reported that at least 29 children and one adult were injured. Four of the victims suffered fractures. &nbsp; The incident happened when thousands of people gathered near the village of Jerge-Tal for an event dedicated to a 19th century Kyrgyz poem 'The Epic of Manas'. &nbsp;
People, including many children, were sitting on the grass on the side of a hill with some holding the flag of the country, when suddenly a parked vehicle began rolling down the hill and hit multiple people. &nbsp;
The driver was arrested. During the investigation, he said he forgot to put the handbrake and was talking on the phone when he noticed the truck moving. &nbsp;
