Kriti Sanon is on cloud nine now and she has every right to there. The reason? Well, she has bagged her first ever ‘Best Actress’ award at the 'IIFA 2022'. It took her 8 long years to bag her first 'Best Actress' award.
After receiving the award, Kriti took to social media and posted, "Dreams do come true! All you need to do is keep working hard towards it and never lose faith! It has taken me 8yrs to get my first #BestActress award. But I’m so happy that I received my first for #Mimi - a film I’ll treasure forever, a character that will always be special in my filmography! Thank you @iifa for this validation and for an amazing evening!!  Will always be grateful to #Dinoo @laxman.utekar sir for making me your Mimi for life and the whole cast and crew of Mimi for making this journey so memorable!”.
On the work front, Kriti Sanon will now be seen in films including ‘Adipurush’, ‘Ganapath’, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Shehzada’ and also Anurag Kashyap's next project.

Kriti Sanon is on cloud nine after bagging her first Best Actress Award at the 22nd edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards. The actor was honoured for her performance in the 2021 film &lsquo;Mimi,&rsquo; co-starring Pankaj Tripathi. &nbsp;
Kriti Sanon shared a picture of her with the trophy on social media and mentioned that it took her eight years to win her first Best Actress award. &lsquo;Dreams do come true. All you need to do is keep working hard towards it and never lose faith,&rsquo; she wrote.
She further added that &lsquo;Mimi&rsquo; is a film that she&rsquo;ll forever treasure and the character will always be special in her filmography. Kriti wrote that she is grateful to the whole cast and crew of &lsquo;Mimi&rsquo; for making this journey so memorable. She also thanked IIFA in her post for the validation and an amazing evening.
The comedy drama &lsquo;Mimi&rsquo; has been directed by Laxman Utekar. The film narrates the story of a young woman who opts to be a surrogate for a foreign couple.
