According to news agency ANI, the letter threatened to release Kichcha&rsquo;s &lsquo;private video&rsquo; on social media. An FIR has been registered in the case.

Actor Kichcha Sudeep has reacted to reports of him receiving a threat letter. He said that he knows the letter has been sent by someone in the film industry and he will give them a befitting reply. He added he will work in favour of those who stand by his side in tough times.
According to news agency ANI, the letter threatened to release Kichcha&rsquo;s &lsquo;private video&rsquo; on social media. An FIR has been registered in the case.
Kichcha Sudeep will be campaigning for Bharatiya Janta Party in the upcoming elections in Karnataka. He dismissed reports that he will contest as a candidate.
He sparked rumours of joining politics as he met minister DK Shivakumar in February this year. &lsquo;I have met DK Shivakumar, CM Basavaraj Bommai and minister DK Sudhakar. I have a good relationship with everyone, but I have not made any decision regarding my political entry. I will make it public when I take a decision.&rsquo; Sudeep was quoted in a report by India Today.

There have been speculations that Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep will be joining Bharatiya Janta Party. Now, according to news agency ANI, ahead of his joining the political party, an alleged threat letter was received by the actor&rsquo;s manager from an unknown person threatening to release Kichcha&rsquo;s &lsquo;private video&rsquo; on social media.&nbsp;
Taking note of the complaint, the police registered an FIR against an unknown person.
Sources told ANI that a few senior officers are also thinking to hand over the case to Central Crime Branch (CCB).&nbsp;

Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, ‘Vikrant Rona’ in Mumbai. Salman Khan accompanied the actor during a promotional event. 
During the event, the actors were asked to share their opinion on the North Vs South debate. Kichcha Sudeep said that one must not generalise. Giving an example, he said that many films are made in a year, out of which some do well and the rest don't but that does not mean that South Film Industry is dominating but not Hindi.  
Comparing the scenario to cricket, he said that if Virat Kohli is being out of form for a while and someone else is performing better than him would you say that he is the number one player now? 
Salman who is also a part of the promotions of the pan-India film said that he has been working with a lot of South people. Be it with Kiccha Sudeep, Prakash Raj, Prabhu Deva, and even Venkatesh whose Hindi film 'Anari' was a big hit that featured Karisma Kapoor. 
So, sometimes films work and sometimes they don't. There is no set formula ki 100 per cent yeh hi chalega," he added.
'Vikrant Rona' is scheduled to be released in theatres on 28th July, 2022.
