What are Congress' 5 guarantees:&nbsp;
First is Gruha Joythi - 200 units of free electricity every month to every household to help bear bills.
Second Gruha Lakshmi - ₹2,000 each month to the female head of every household for sustenance and help in the fight against price rise.
The third guarantee is Anna Bhagya - 10 Kg rice, every month to every member of BPL families.&nbsp;
The fourth is Yuva Nidhi - ₹3,000 every month to every unemployed graduate for a period of two years. And ₹1,500 to unemployed youths with Diploma.&nbsp;
And the fifth is - free bus travel for women in govt buses to ensure they have the freedom to travel without worrying to pay.

Villagers of Ganjigere in Karnataka have reportedly returned 'gifts' given to them by local BJP leader during the wee hours of May 10, the day of voting for assembly elections. 

According to Indian Express, BJP candidate KC Narayan Gowda left sarees and chicken on the doorstep of the villagers.&nbsp;

As voting ends for Karnataka assembly elections, here's what the exit polls are predicting. 

The majority mark in 224-member Vidhana Soudha is 113.

As voting for Karnataka state assembly ended, several pollsters declared their predictions based on the post-poll surveys with at least three of them giving an upper hand to the Congress and others indicating a hung assembly where JDS could play the kingmaker.
The ABP News-C Voter predicted the BJP to win 83-95 seats and the Congress 100 to 112 seats. For JDS, the survey said the regional outfit could win between 21 and 29 seats.
India Today- Axis My India survey predicted that the Congress could win between122-140 seats while the ruling BJP which is seeking a second term and is facing anti-incumbency may bag between 62-80 seats. This survey too predicted that JDS could play a crucial role in government formation and may win between 20-25 seats.
The majority mark in 224-member Vidhana Soudha is 113.
The News 24-Today's Chanakya however predicted a neck-to-neck battle between the BJP and the Congress. Pollsters predicted 92 seats for the BJP, while its survey showed the Congress could win 120 seats. Kumaraswamy-led JDS could manage 12 seats.
The News Nation-CGS survey predicted the return of BJP to power with 114 seats and 86 for the Congress, while the JDS is expected to get 21 seats.
Pertinent to mention that exit polls often get it wrong.

The elections to the 224-member assembly will be held on May 10 and results will be declared on May 13.

A total of 2,613 candidates are in the poll fray, as the withdrawal of candidatures for the May 10 Assembly elections in Karnataka came to an end on Monday, election officials said.
A total of 517 candidates have withdrawn their candidature, even as parties faced "rebel trouble" in several segments.
Out of 2,613 candidates in the poll fray, 2,427 are male, 184 females and 2 others, office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka said.
Among the contesting candidates from recognised political parties- 224 from BJP, 223 Congress (supporting Sarvodaya Karnataka Party in Melukote), 207 JD(S), 209 AAP, 133 BSP , 4 CPI(M), 8 JD(U) and 2 NPP.
While 685 are from Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPP), 918 are independents.
In 16 constituencies there are more than 15 candidates in the fray, so two Ballot Unit (BU) will be used in these segments during the poll.
The elections to the 224-member assembly will be held on May 10 and results will be declared on May 13.
