<p>&lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo; continues to rule the box office and has crossed Rs 1000 crore globally. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared the update on X and wrote, &ldquo;#KALKI2898AD has crossed 1,000 Crs at the WW Box office.&rdquo; Earlier on July 8, the makers of the film confirmed on their official handle that the film had crossed Rs 900 crore worldwide. &nbsp;</p>
<p>The mega budget mythological sci-fi drama has grossed over Rs 230 crore only in Hindi belt. The Nag Ashwin directorial had a bumper opening of Rs 95 crore and continues to run in theatres after two weeks. After enjoying a solitary run, the film now faces competition from Kamal Haasan&rsquo;s &lsquo;Indian 2&rsquo; and Akshay Kumar&rsquo;s &lsquo;Sarfira&rsquo;. &nbsp;</p>
<p>Kalki 2898 AD" is reportedly the most expensive film ever made in India with a budget of Rs 600 crore. The film had a global release on June 27 in five different languages, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The film has reportedly grossed over Rs 468 crores in domestic markets across all languages. With the film holding strong, it is expected to continue the box office storm this weekend as well. Besides, there is no other big competition at the domestic box office. &nbsp;</p>

<p>&lsquo;Kalki 2898 AD&rsquo; created history at the box office by becoming the third biggest opener in Indian cinema. It earned a massive Rs 191 crore globally on its opening day.
