The World Super Kabaddi League will launch in Dubai early next year, featuring teams from 30 countries. Supported by the IKF, it aims to globalize kabaddi and push for Olympic inclusion.

The organisers of the World Super Kabaddi League (WSKL) on Monday announced that the inaugural edition of the tournament, featuring about 30 countries, will be held in Dubai, tentatively in February-March next year.
Backed by the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF), WSKL will adopt a franchise-based model featuring eight teams in its inaugural season. Each team will have a strong international presence alongside Indian talent.
"Kabaddi has always deserved a larger stage not just for India but for the global sporting community. With WSKL, our goal is to reimagine the sport for a global audience, unlock international talent, and take decisive steps towards Olympic recognition," said Sambhav Jain, Director and Founder, SJ uplift Kabaddi Pvt Ltd that operates the League.
The league has committed a total player purse of Rs 48 crore across its eight franchises, underscoring the strong investment appetite for this new sports property. WSKL has already secured interest and participation from prominent kabaddi nations including South Korea, Iran, Thailand, Pakistan, Malaysia, Japan, Canada, and the United States, with discussions underway to onboard additional countries, the release added.

Delhi Police has already started its investigation after an FIR was registered against the coach at Baba Haridas Nagar police station in Dwarka on the complaint of the female player.

UP Kabaddi players had their food served to them in the toilet. The video was reportedly shot by the players themselves on September 16 and shows players serving rice and vegetables to themselves in a toilet.

A viral video showed that the UP state level Kabaddi players were served food in the toilet in Saharanpur. The bodies responsible for the arrangement have given a statement on the situation.

Sports officer Animesh Saxena has been suspended by the State Government due to unhygienic facilities provided to the UP U-17 girls Kabaddi team.

UP Kabaddi Players Served Food In Toilet : In a video that is doing the rounds on social media, UP state level Kabaddi players had their food served to them in the toilet. The video was reportedly shot by the players themselves on September 16 and shows players serving rice and vegetables to themselves in a toilet. The players had come for the U-17 State level Kabaddi tournament.
The rest of the food was lying on the ground on a piece of paper. Saharanpur Sports Officer Animesh Saxena has been suspended by the State government and the latter also gave a statement regarding the situation.

Suspended Animesh Saxena had also given his clarification earlier where he said "The food was kept in the changing room next to the swimming pool. Some construction work is being done in the stadium and there was no other place to keep the food because of rain"

The 40-year-old players hailed from Nangal&nbsp;Ambiyan&nbsp;village but he, along with his family, was settled in England.&nbsp;Sandeep used to organise Kabaddi tournaments in Punjab. Police suspect eight to 10 bullets were pumped into the Kabaddi player.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police said 10 empty bullet shells were found from the spot.
After Sandeep was shot, he was taken to a hospital in Nakodar where he was declared dead, according to the police.&nbsp;

But he, along with his family, was settled in England.&nbsp;Sandeep used to organise Kabaddi tournaments here.&nbsp; Police said when Sandeep came out of the tournament site, four unidentified assailants opened fire on him.
