It has been one year since 'JugJugg Jeeyo', starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, released in theatres. On this special day, filmmaker Karan Johar has hinted towards a possible sequel.
Dharma Productions shared a video celebrating 1 year of 'JugJugg Jeeyo' with the caption, 'To an entertainer that made you dance to the grooviest numbers and celebrated the power of love.'
Karan re-shared the video on Instagram story and wrote, 'A film I know there is a sequel waiting to happen #1yearofJugJuggJeeyo'
His caption has left the fans excited and they eagerly looking forward for the sequel.
Directed by Raj Mehta, the film tells the story of a couple Kuku and Naina, who have moved to India from Canada and want to announce their divorce. The couple had a grand wedding at their ancestral home.

Varun recently revealed that after being diagnosed with a health condition - vestibular hypofunction, he 'shut down'. He also added that he joined the rate race after pandemic.

 In an interview, Varun added that he joined the rate race the moment things began to go back to normal after the Covid-19 pandemic and he worked even harder than before. The actor said he took a lot of pressure on himself when he was working on his film &lsquo;JugJugg Jeeyo.&rsquo; &nbsp;
 &lsquo;The minute we opened doors, don&rsquo;t you think we went back to the same rat race? How many people here can say that they have changed? I see people working even harder! In fact, I started pushing so much harder (with) my film JugJugg Jeeyo, it felt like I was running for an election. I don&rsquo;t know why, but I put so much pressure on myself,&rsquo; he said, in an interview with India Today.&nbsp;
 The actor further went on to say, &lsquo;Recently, I just shut down. I didn&rsquo;t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called vestibular hypofunction, (where) basically your balance goes off. But I just pushed myself so hard. We are just running in this race, nobody is asking why. I think there is a greater purpose (why) we are all here. I am trying to find mine, and hopefully, people will find theirs.&rsquo;&nbsp;

Neetu Kapoor and late Rishi Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni recently walked the ramp at London Fashion Week for the Riddhima x Punjab Jewellers exclusive collection. Neetu turned cheerleader for her as she walked the ramp on Saturday.   
Though Neetu was not present to witness Ridhima’s jewellery collection in person, she shared some snippets from the event. In the video, Riddhima is walking the ramp along with a little girl and the duo is twinning in sequinned outfits. Ridhima turned showstopper for designer Helen Anthony. 
Earlier in the day, Neetu had shared details of her daughter’s appearance and wished  her luck.

Karan Johar hosted a success bash for the box office success of ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’, starring Varan Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Singh. The family drama has been directed by Raj A Mehta and produced by Dharma Productions.
The stars of the film as well as the CEO of Dharma Productions Apoorva Mehta were present at Karan’s residence.
‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ received a lot of love from the audience and a positive response from the critics too.

The estranged couple flies to India for Kuku's sister's (Prajakta Kohli) wedding and hopes to reveal the news to the family after the ceremony. However, Kuku's life takes a U-turn when he discovers his father (Anil Kapoor) is planning to divorce his mother (Neetu Kapoor).
Director Raj Mehta has tried to wrap a serious issue in humour. Maniesh Paul, who plays the role of Kuku's friend and Naina's brother, acts as a catalyst to drive up the humour quotient of the film with a few one-liners. 
Varun Dhawan as Kuku continues in his domain of a guy-next-door. In the initial 10 minutes, we discover similarities with the previous characters played by the actor. As the movie proceeds, Kuku's character graduates to being more vulnerable and relatable to the audience. Varun has done justice to whatever was offered to him. Kiara Advani is impressive in emotional scenes and has a good screen presence. Though, it takes a while for the lead actors to develop on-screen chemistry. 
Anil Kapoor is the soul of the film. His timing and expressions infuse the much-needed entertainment rush in the script. However, weak writing shackles his character, especially during a few emotional scenes. 
Neetu Kapoor is grace personified. It's great to see her back on the big screen. Neetu Kapoor's and Anil Kapoor's chemistry is natural and is relatable to the audience. 
The film's length hinders the experience of a predictable story. Dialogue is a mix of emotions and humour. Most of them will remind you of WhatsApp forwards and memes. A section of the audience might love it, while others may feel it's distasteful and unnecessary. The film has everything a typical Bollywood drama is made of - masala, comedy, dance moves, and a great star cast. If you don't have anything planned for the weekend, then JugJugg Jeeyo can be a part of your list.
