Gopal Mandal was travelling from Patna to New Delhi on the Tejas Rajdhani Express when he was seen roaming in his undergarments in a train compartment.
The Bihar MLA defended his action, saying that his stomach was upset during the journey.
Co-passengers strongly objected to the MLA's indecent display and it almost led to a fight with Mandal hurling abuses at the passengers.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is not in the race for the post of the prime minister though he has all the qualities required to become one, his party, the Janata Dal (United), said on Sunday.
The party is an ally of the BJP at the Centre as well as in the state.
Asked about the matter, Kumar said called it "nonsense". "I neither want nor expect (this)."&nbsp;
"Nitish Kumar is not a candidate for the post of the prime minister. The JD(U) is the most trusted member of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the leader of the alliance. But he (Kumar) certainly is a PM material," JD(U) General Secretary and spokesperson K C Tyagi told reporters after the party's national council meeting here.
&ldquo;We are in the NDA and firmly support the alliance. The party would welcome setting up of an NDA coordination committee to resolve various issues. During the period of Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, several works were done after setting up the coordination committee. "We will be happy if a similar coordination committee is formed again at the central and state levels for smooth functioning of the government and to put a stop to unwarranted comments made by leaders of alliance partners,&rdquo; Tyagi said.
To a question, he said the JD(U) will contest the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Manipur in 2022.
"Our priority will be to form an alliance with the BJP (for the polls). If that does not happen, we will contest independently," the senior JD(U) leader said.
The party had not contested the UP assembly elections in 2017.
Rajiv Ranjan Singh, newly appointed JD(U) national president, had said on August 7 that the party is capable of contesting elections alone.
On the JD(U)&rsquo;s demand for caste-based census in the country, Tyagi said, &ldquo;A delegation led by the CM recently briefed the PM on the caste-based ensus and urged him to take an appropriate decision. The PM listened to the delegation. The caste census should be done at least once. It will be easy for the government to identify the poor other than Dalits and help formulate schemes for their welfare".
The caste-based census has not taken place in the country since British rule.

The government while responding to a question in the Lok Sabha by an MP of Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United (JDU) said Bihar is India's most backward state according to a report.
Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh said in his written reply that according to NITI Aayog's report, Bihar's composite score was the lowest among all states. The minister attributed Bihar's poor score to factors like poverty, the worst literacy rate in those who are 15 and above and lowest mobile use and internet use.

The Rashtriya Lok Samata Party or RLSP, formed by Upendra Kushwaha in 2013, merged with the JD(U) on Sunday. The move comes about nine years after Kushwaha's fall out with JD(U) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
On Sunday, Nitish said the union of the two parties will make the JD(U) all the more stronger and named Kushwaha the chairman of its parliamentary board. Kushwaha said, Nitish was his elder brother, and the JD(U) is his old home.
In 2014, Kushwaha joined the NDA and the RLSP successfully contested from three seats in the general elections, with Kushwaha emerging victorious from the Karakat seat. However, in the 2015 Bihar polls, the RLSP performed poorly. In 2019, the RLSP contested the general elections with the Grand Alliance but could not win a single seat.
Reports say, Kushwaha&rsquo;s merger with the JD(U) is being seen as a major consolidation bid by Nitish for OBC Luv-Kush (Kurmi-Koeri) votes, with the community accounting for about 10% of Bihar&rsquo;s population.

The term "love jihad" is used by right-wing activists to refer to the alleged campaign of Muslims forcing Hindu girls to convert in the guise of love.
"Provisions of the Constitution and CrPC give freedom to two adults to choose life partners of their choice irrespective of one's religion, caste or region," Tyagi said.
The Cabinet in BJP governed Madhya Pradesh on Saturday passed a Bill which provides for prison term of up to 10 years and fine of Rs 1 lakh for conversion through marriage or by any other fraudulent means.
The bill in some ways is similar to an Ordinance notified by the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh last month.

It was evident that JDU chief, Kumar taunted RJD founder Lalu Prasad Yadav for bearing &lsquo;eight to nine children in the quest for a son&rsquo;.
