Eco-tourism: dolphin safaris along river Ganga launched at 6 sites

A 'My Ganga My Dolphin' campaign has been launched by the&nbsp;National Mission for Clean Ganga, the Wildlife Institute of India and the Forest Department to mark&nbsp;Ganga River Dolphin Day.&nbsp;
As a part of this, dolphin safaris have been launched at six sites along the banks of river Ganga&nbsp;in&nbsp;Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal.&nbsp;
The Ganga Praharis in all the sites have been trained in biodiversity-based eco-tourism and will take the tourists on boat rides to view Dolphin and explore the biodiversity of the holy river.&nbsp;
Announcing the initiative via video conference, the Jal&nbsp;Shakti&nbsp;Minister&nbsp;congratulated the nation and informed that the population of Gangetic Dolphins has increased in recent years.

Japan Airlines goes gender-neutral, drops 'ladies and gentlemen' 

In a new initiative to challenge gender disparity, Japanese Airlines (JAL) is dropping, "ladies and gentlemen" from the greeting announcement. The airlines will go with expressions like, "attention all passengers" and, "welcome everyone" from October 1 on flights and airports worldwide.&nbsp;
The spokesperson of JAL&nbsp;told AFP&nbsp;that the Tokyo-based airlines aims to&nbsp;abolish expressions that do not promote&nbsp;gender inclusivity.&nbsp;
The decision is first of its kind as Japan does not recognises same-sex marriages legally, however, the government has started expanding rights for lesbians, gay, bisexual and transgender&nbsp;citizens gradually.&nbsp;
