Team India head coach Ravi Shastri has defended his book launch event in UK which was linked to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian camp. In an interview to&nbsp;Mid-day, Shastri&nbsp;said that the whole country is open and anything could have happened from Test One.
According to&nbsp;reports, the book launch took place&nbsp;on 1 September and a few members of the Indian cricket team along with Shastri attended the event. It was&nbsp;alleged that&nbsp;Shastri and team members didn't seek permission from either BCCI&nbsp;or ECB to attend the&nbsp;crowded event. Shastri&nbsp;had tested positive for Covid-19 along with other coaching staff on Day 4 of the 4th Test, after which another member of the support staff contracted the virus. Hence the 5th Test in Manchester was cancelled despite Indian cricketers testing negative for the deadly virus.
