India had a terrific day 7 at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, where they added 2 gold medals - one in the mixed doubles event in Tennis and one in the men's squash team event where they beat Pakistan in a thriller. Their medal tally could rise exponentially on day 8, with a number of medal events set to take place on October 1 where India will be in action, including Golf, Athletics, Shooting, and boxing among others.
All eyes early on will be on India's Aditi Ashok, who had a phenomenal outing in Round 3 of Women's Golf. <a href="https://www.editorji.com/sports-news/others-sports/aditi-ashok-indian-golfer-favourite-to-win-gold-in-after-brilliant-round-3-at-asian-games-2023-golf-1696054966820">Aditi, with a 7-shot lead, is currently the favourite</a> to win the Gold in the women's individual event on Sunday. Her performance has also propelled India to the top of the team standings even as her compatriots are way behind on the leaderboard. If Aditi repeats her performance from September 30, India could add 2 Gold medals to their tally in Golf.
It will be an action-packed day in Athletics for India, with a number of finals lined up. From Jyothi Yarraji in Women's 100m hurdles to Tajinderpal Singh Toor in Shot Put, from Murali Sreeshankar in Men's Long Jump to Avinash Sable in Men&rsquo;s 3000m Steeplechase, India will be vying for Gold in a number of events.
Shooting events will also come to an end on Sunday, with the final day all about the Trap events. India could add more medals to the <a href="https://www.editorji.com/sports-news/others-sports/indian-shooters-sarabjot-singh-divya-ts-win-silver-in-10m-air-pistol-mixed-team-asian-games-2023-1696047871864">19 they have already won in Shooting</a> at Hangzhou 2022, their best-ever medal haul in the discipline in Asian Games history.
Archery events will also begin on Sunday, with the individual qualification rounds in both the recurve and compound categories. India have a few world champions in their squad and will be hoping for a good beginning to their campaign in Hangzhou.

<h2>Olympics silver medallist Mirabai Chanu will be in action on September 30 in the Women's 49kg category in weightlifting.</h2>

India had a fantastic day 6 at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, adding 3 gold medals to climb to fourth in the medal tally. On September 30, day 7 of the multi-sport event, India will be hoping for much of the same from their athletes, with a number of medals events taking place in athletics, shooting, boxing, tennis, badminton, and weightlifting among other sports.
Shooting will once again take centrestage, with Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS aiming for glory in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event that will begin at 6:30 am IST. In addition, Stage 1 of the men's and women's trap qualification will also take place at the same time. India have won 18 medals in shooting so far, their best-ever haul in the sport at the Asian Games.
Weightlifting events will also begin on September 30, with Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu making her Asian Games debut in the Women's 49kg category. All of India will be hoping for Mirabai to replicate her heroics from the Tokyo Games in Hangzhou. Along with Chanu, Bindyarani Devi will feature in the Women's 55kg category.
In Tennis, <a href="https://www.editorji.com/sports-news/others-sports/asian-games-rohan-bopanna-and-rutuja-bhosale-assured-of-silver-after-reaching-tennis-mixed-doubles-final-1695977515938">Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale will be in action</a> in the mixed doubles final in Tennis. After Nikhat Zareen assured India of a medal on Sep 29, many boxers including World Champion Lovlina Borgohain will look to replicate her compatriot by reaching the semifinals. Apart from Lovlina, Sachin Siwach, Nishant Dev, Preeti Pawar and Narender Berwal, will also be in action on Saturday.

The Indian trio of Swapnil Kusale, Aishwary Pratap Singh and Akhil Sheoran also created a new world record as they clinched Gold in Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions team event.

The Indian trio of Swapnil Kusale, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar and Akhil Sheoran clinched gold for India in the Men's 50m Air Rifle team event.
The Indian marksmen also created a new world record of 1769 points in qualification, leaving China behind in second.
While Swapnil topped the qualification charts, Aishwary Tomar finished second behind him. Akhil Sheoran was 5th in the qualification round.
While Swapnil and Aishwary also qualified for the individual event final, Akhil Sheoran missed out despite finishing 5th. While the top 8 shooters usually progress to the final round, only 2 shooters are allowed from a country. And hence, Akhil Sheoran won't feature in the final despite finishing in the top 8.

<h2>Shooting will once again take centrestage in the morning, with Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan in contention for a medal in the women's 25m pistol event.</h2>

After winning their third gold in the Equestrian Dressage Team event, India will be hoping to add more gold medals to the tally with shooting events early in the morning.&nbsp;
Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan will be in contention for Gold in the 25m Pistol event. Having already topped the Precision Round, Manu Bhaker will be hoping to finish top in the rapid round next. India can, in fact, win more than one medal in the competition, with Esha Singh also close behind Manu Bhaker. Indians will be keeping their fingers crossed for the finals.
Apart from Women's 25m Pistol event, the Skeet Men's and Women's stage 2 will also take place simultaneously. While the men really didn't have a great Stage 1, Ganemat Sekhon in the women's event is in contention for a medal. Ashi Chouksey, Manini Kaushik and Sift Kaur Samra will also take part in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions event.
In squash, both the men's and women's team will play 2 pool matches each, while the Indian women's hockey team will open their campaign against Singapore in the morning.
In boxing, Shiva Thapa and Sanjeet will take the ring in the afternoon in their round of 16 bouts.&nbsp;
