The brother of Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is among the five arrested for the murder of her Indore-based husband Raja Raghuvanshi, on Wednesday came out in support of the victim's family and vowed to fight a legal battle to get justice for them.
An emotional Govind Raghuvanshi, Sonam's brother, reached Raja Raghuvanshi's house here to console his family members. Sharing the family's grief, he hugged Raja's mother Uma and broke down.
Raja Raghuvanshi (29) and Sonam got married here on May 11. They went missing during their honeymoon trip to Meghalaya on May 23. Raja's body was found in a deep gorge near a waterfall in Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) of East Khasi Hills district on June 2.
Sonam, who was initially reported missing in Meghalaya, surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur on Sunday night where she surrendered after her alleged accomplices Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Anand Kurmi were arrested for their alleged role in conspiring and killing Raghuvanshi. Raj Singh Kushwaha (21), the alleged conspirator, was arrested later.
Talking to reporters during his visit to Raja Raghuvanshi's house, Govind said, "I have announced that I am with Raja's family and will fight a legal battle to get him justice." He said he does not know whether his sister Sonam has admitted her crime or not.
"I met Sonam only for two minutes when she was in the custody of the Meghalaya police. I could not talk to her much. She did not confess her crime in front of me," he added.
When asked about Raj Kushwaha's role in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, he said, ''Raj was just our employee." Accused Sonam's maternal home is located in Indore's Govind Nagar Kharcha area. She handled the family business of lamination sheets used in furniture.
According to the local police, Raj Kushwaha, who was reportedly romantically involved with Sonam and accused of plotting the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, is a 12th dropout and worked as an accountant at the lamination sheet unit owned by Sonam's family.

A local tourist guide, who alerted police about the presence of three men accompanying newlyweds Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi on the day they went missing, on Tuesday claimed that he identified one of the suspects after seeing some photographs.
The couple went missing on May 23 before Raja's highly decomposed body with fatal head injuries was found on June 2 near Weisawdong falls.
Albert Pde, the guide at Mawlakhiat, told PTI, "I could identify one of the suspects from the photos provided by police." "I am happy that the criminals are finally behind the bars. We stand vindicated. Those who tried to tarnish the image of Sohra and its people as violent have now been exposed," Pde added.
Pde had said he saw the couple accompanied by the three men as they were climbing over 3,000 steps from Nongriat to Mawlakhiat around 10 am on May 23.
According to the guide, "The four men, including Raja, were walking ahead while the woman was behind. The four men conversed in Hindi," he said, admitting that he was not very conversant in the language.
Pde had initially offered his services to walk them to Nongriat on May 22, but they politely refused and hired another guide identified as Bha Wansai, who dropped them at Shipara homestay.
Police on Monday arrested Sonam, a 24-year-old woman from Indore, for allegedly orchestrating the murder of her husband Raja during their honeymoon in the scenic town of Sohra in Meghalaya.
Raja was killed by men allegedly hired by Sonam, who went 'missing' and surfaced in UP's Ghazipur where she surrendered at the Nandganj police station after the arrest of three assailants&mdash;Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Raj Singh Kushwaha (21) -- in overnight raids.
The autopsy report of Raja Raghuvanshi indicated that he was hit twice with a sharp object on his head, officials at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) said.
"The autopsy report indicated there were two sharp cuts on the head of the deceased&mdash;one from behind and one from the front," East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem told PTI, quoting the report.
He said police have also seen the two cuts on his head too during the inquest.
According to the officer, police registered a murder case under Sohra PS after the initial inquest.

Jangam allegedly killed Reena on Tuesday morning following a dispute and fled to Mumbai, the official said.
After learning about the murder, the Ahmedabad police tracked his mobile phone and informed their Mumbai counterparts that he was hiding in Ramabai Nagar, Ghatkopar, in the metropolis.
A team from the Pantnagar police station then took Jangam into custody and handed him over to the Gujarat police, the official said.

It's about women calling their boyfriends 'husbands' to see their reactions. Many believe that if the boyfriend smiles or reacts positively, it indicates a green flag, while if they correct the girlfriend or react negatively, it raises questions about their loyalty in the relationship.&nbsp;
"If you really think of it based on common sense, like psychological common sense, if I come out of context and say something to you that you didn't expect me to say, you will be startled," says Sara Nasserzadeh, a social psychologist and author.
<h3>How did the 'Husband Test' trend start?</h3>
The 'Husband Test' trend started when Kenzie Greene posted her video wherein she deliberately called her boyfriend her husband to see his reaction. But this didn't go well with her boyfriend, who responded by saying, &ldquo;I'm not your husband&rdquo;. He also immediately switched off the video. Many netizens reacted to this video and jumped to conclusions about Kenzie Greene's boyfriend not wanting a commitment in the relationship. Woman suffers burns after husband throws acid on her in Tamil Nadu

Kavitha had reached the court premises to appear in a theft case, police said. She was arrested in August 2016 for stealing 10 sovereigns of gold chain from a bus passenger and the case was going on in the First Judicial Magistrate Court. She was out on bail.
She had allegedly developed an illicit relationship with one Prabhu and eloped with him a week ago, that left her husband and the couple's two daughters in dismay, police said.
Her husband Shivakumar, who came there anticipating her court appearance, splashed acid on her face from a water bottle he was carrying, police added.
Writhing in pain, Kavitha sustained serious burn injuries below the neck and ran for safety even as a woman lawyer standing nearby covered her upper body with a cloth. She was rushed to the government hospital where doctors stated she had already suffered 80 per cent burn injuries, police said.

In a chilling parallel to Delhi's Shraddha Walker murder case, a woman along with two male friends was arrested for killing her husband and his mother in Assam's Noonmati, a neighbourhood in Guwahati in July-August last year. The accused woman not only killed but chopped their bodies into pieces and stored them in the fridge, NDTV reported, quoting cops.&nbsp;&nbsp;
