"Housefull 5" boasts an impressive Rs 91.83 crore nett weekend collection, showcasing top Bollywood talent led by Akshay Kumar, keeping the "Housefull" series tradition alive.

"Housefull 5" grosses Rs 91.83 crore nett during its opening weekend, featuring top Bollywood stars and a strong audience reception.

"Housefull 5", featuring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar and Jacqueline Fernandez among others, has collected Rs 91.83 crore nett at the domestic box office on its first weekend, the makers announced on Monday.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani of "Dostana" fame.
Also featuring Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan and Sanjay Dutt, the film released in theatres on June 6. It is the fifth installment in the "Housefull" franchise.
Production banner shared the box office collection on its X handle with the day-wise breakdown.
"A weekend full of laughter, love&hellip; and Housefull screens! Thank you for making Day 3 so special. Our hearts are full because of you. #Housefull5 In Cinemas NOW! Book your tickets today," read the caption.
"Housefull 5" opened with Rs 24.35 crore nett and went on to earn Rs 32.38 crore nett on the following day. It collected Rs 35.10 crore nett on its third day.
The franchise began in 2010 with the first "Housefull" film, which went on to have good business at the box office. Following, the other installments released in 2012, 2016, and 2019, respectively.

The fifth installment of &lsquo;Housefull&rsquo; movie franchise was initially set for a Diwali 2024 release, but now the film, featuring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, has been postponed and will hit the theatres on June 6, 2025.
The film&rsquo;s producer Sajid Nadiadwala released an official statement and wrote, &lsquo;The Houseful franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX.&rsquo;
On a closing note, the statement added, &lsquo;Therefore, we&rsquo;ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025.&rsquo;
Akshay Kumar shared the news and wrote, &lsquo;5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June 2025.&rsquo;
As of now, only Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh are confirmed for 'Housefull 5'. Rumors suggest potential involvement of John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, and Bobby Deol in the upcoming film.
The makers of &lsquo;Housefull&rsquo; 5 had earlier issued an official statement about the film&rsquo;s casting and urged everyone not to speculate anything as of now.
&lsquo;There are many speculations doing rounds about the star cast in Housefull 5, we kindly request media houses to please refrain from making any premature announcements at this stage. We will officially announce the star cast soon,&rsquo; the statement released by Nadiadwala Grandson read.
The first &lsquo;Housefull&rsquo; movie was released in 2010 and starred Akshay Kumar with Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta and Chunky Panday in the lead.
The second movie in the franchise hit theatres in 2012.
On the other hand, Housefull 3 and 4 were released in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
&lsquo;Housefull 5&rsquo; will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
