The Mizoram Police registered an FIR against Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and six top state officials on charges of attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy over the recent clashes at the interstate border that killed seven people.
Additionally, some 200 unnamed police personnel, too, have been mentioned in the case.
The case is filed at the Vairengte Police Station in the&nbsp;Kolasib district of Mizoram, which borders Assam's Cachar.
The developments came on a day Mizoram condemned Assam&rsquo;s decision to ask its citizens to not travel to the neighbouring state.

The two states have been at odds over the boundary for decades, but things flared up this week.
On Monday, violence broke out in the border area between these two districts, leading to the death of seven people and injuries of 50 others. Each side has accused the other of causing the violence.

"If an accused tries to snatch the service gun and run away, or even simply flee, and on top of it he is, say, a rapist, the law allows shooting at such a person on the leg, but not on the chest," PTI quoted Sarma as saying.
"When someone asked me whether shooting incidents are becoming a pattern in the state, I replied that (shooting) should be the pattern if it involves a criminal trying to escape police custody," he said.
Speaking for the first time to all Officers-in-Charge of the state's police stations on "Redefining Policing Standards in Assam", the CM on Monday issued directions to strictly deal with crimes against women and show zero tolerance.

Replying to a discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the Governor's address, Sarma dismissed the request of the opposition Congress to allow Gogoi to attend the Assembly session but said that the government has not kept any negative view against anyone.
On May 21, the first day of the three-day session, the RTI activist-turned-politician came to the assembly to take oath as an MLA after obtaining permission from a Special NIA court. He is currently in judicial custody.
"Forgetting Covid protocol, he just went to every member inside the House. This is a pre-warning of a disease. The doctors of the GMCH told me that this is his disease," the CM said.

Ganeshguri Flyover to be Ready by Durga Puja? Workers Work 24x7

Around 300 workers are working round the clock to complete the Ganeshguri flyover in Guwahati. Assam PWD (Public Works Department) Minister Himanta Bsiwa Sarma had said that the government is looking at making the flyover operational before Durga Puja celebrations in October this year. The foundation stone for the flyover was laid by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in March last year. The flyover will connect RG Baruah Road with Bishnu Rabha flyover and is expected to reduce congestion by about 35%. The 476 metre long flyover is being constructed under the state owned priority scheme at a cost of Rs 58.76 crore.
