While the bodies of five of the family members have been found, two others remain missing.

A family lost members spanning three generations in the mishap in which a temple in the Summer Hill area of rain-battered Shimla district was washed away following a landslide triggered by Monday&rsquo;s cloudburst.
According to officials, seven members of the family, including three children were inside the Shiv temple when it collapsed.
The deceased were identified as Pawan Sharma, his wife Santosh, son Aman, daughter-in-law Archna and three granddaughters.
According to State Disaster Response Force, the bodies of five of the family members have been found, while two persons while two others remain missing.
Sunita Sharma, a distressed relative said, "I have just one request, find them and bring them to us. We will accept them dead or alive. We have been waiting for three days.
Sunedhi, the sister of one of the missing persons expressed grief and said, "We don't know what God did to us."
Vinod, the brother of one of the missing persons said, "The administration should make such areas safe, and have some kind of system in place to ensure that the water recedes immediately."
According to officials, a total of 13 bodies have been retrieved so far from the Summer Hill area in Shimla.

Incessant downpour and landslides have created a havoc in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. These natural disasters are now affecting the real estate and tourism sectors of the states that saw a boom only recently after the pandemic.&nbsp;
Threats over the major commercial and residential projects are also mounting as the nature's fury intensifies. A real estate developer based in Himachal has told Business Today that potential buyers who were showing interest in investing in a house in the Himalayan state are now backing off due to the continuous natural disaster.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Demand for residential units, in the form of villas and apartments, grew exponentially in the past 3-5 years in Himachal Pradesh. Residents of Delhi-NCR and Chandigarh, even affluent buyers from towns like Lucknow, Ludhiana or Jaipur, especially who are exposed to beauty of the Himalayas in the state, were flocking to buy their second homes in these locations. However, after the massive disaster that unfolded this year demand is getting hampered. Many, who had shown interested in such properties are no more inclined to move forward with their purchases&rdquo;, a real estate developer told Business Today.

Over the past few years real-estate majors started investing in the Himalayan states of Himachal and Uttarakhand as more people from the northern part of the country started showing interest in buying a home in hilly regions. DLF which has big projects in Delhi and Haryana launched its luxury hillside project in the heart of Shivalik Himalayas in 2012. Spread across 58 acres and located in Kasauli, HP, DLF Samavana has luxury resort homes, including villas, plots and flats. With a starting price of Rs 1.05 crore&mdash;that went up to Rs 6.5 crore&mdash;it was one of the most expensive projects in HP. But that did not deter buyers, and it was sold out at the peak of the pandemic in 2020.
Like real-estate, tourism in the state is also suffering. Manish Goyal, Founder of Stotrak Hospitality that runs multiple hotels, holiday homes and is developing a residential property in HP, told Business Today that extreme pressure to ramp up supplies have caused much damage to the fragile ecosystem of the hills that is now causing havoc.
&ldquo;This year July onwards the situation is really bad for businesses in the region. For the past month, businesses in HP have suffered majorly. While earlier it was the western and central HP, regions like Manali and Mandi that bore the brunt of damage, now even Mussoorie (Uttarakhand) is witnessing natural calamities,&rdquo; Goyal told Business Today.

In an interview with PTI, Himachal CM Sukhu said the estimated damage in the two devastating spells of heavy rain &ndash; this week and in July &ndash; is about Rs 10,000 crore.
Meanwhile, Indian Air Force helicopters are rescuing people stranded in the flood-hit areas.&nbsp;
On August 15, a single Chinook helicopter rescued 18 people stranded near Shimla.&nbsp;

Even as India's summer state is trying to flicker back to life, the weather department has issued fresh rain alert for it.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued an Orange alert from July 15 to July 17, predicting heavy rainfall in the state in swven districts for the next 72 hrs.
IMD Shimla Director Surender Paul said that heavy to very heavy rain very is likely to occur during the next four to five days in the seven districts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra and Hamirpur districts of the state.
While speaking to ANI, Surender Paul said," It rained at most places in Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall in Kangra has been recorded in Dharamsala at 131 mm. Apart from this, it has also rained in Mandi. It has rained everywhere in Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Orange alert has been issued in the state for the next three days."
"The effect of this alert will be seen in Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra and Hamirpur. Heavy to very heavy rain very likely during next 4 to 5 days. In the higher reaches of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur, there will be light rain," he added.
He said that the rains will be less than the rains received in the previous week.
"In comparison to the rain during the past seven days in the state there will not be as much rain as it was recorded during the past few days, but it will rain in most areas. Moderate rains can cause landslides and flash floods. The visibility will also be poor in Kangra, Mandi, Kullu and Hamirpur districts," he said.
