India issued a straong statement after its High Commissioner to UK was stopped from entering a gurudwara.

After Indian High Commissioner to the UK Vikram Doraiswami was allegedly stopped from entering a gurudwara in Scotland, India issued a statement calling the incident disgraceful.
The High Commission of India in London said that three persons deliberately disrupted a planned interaction organized by the Gurudwara Committee for the community.
"On September 29, 2023, three persons-- all from areas outside Scotland--deliberately disrupted a planned interaction organized by the Gurudwara Committee for the community, the High Commissioner and the Consul General of India. The organizers included senior community leaders, ladies and Committee members, and a member of the Scottish Parliament. They were threatened and abused by these elements. In an effort to prevent any potential altercation, the HC and CG decided to leave the premises shortly upon their arrival," said the statement.
As per the statement, one of the non-local extremist elements attempted to violently force open the diplomat's car door but the organisers intervened.

It is due to the quick reaction of one of the organizers, who physically intervened at the car door, that a bigger incident was avoided. Multiple community organizations including the organizers have formally regretted the incident and have urged the authorities to take action against the culprits," added Indian High Commission to London.

The vandalism by pro-Khalistan extremists at the Indian High Commission here was on Thursday raised in the House of Commons, with British MPs demanding action against "Khalistani hooligans" and the safety of India's diplomatic staff.
While Conservative Party MP Bob Blackman called for a debate in Parliament to discuss steps to ban groups behind the violence, Opposition Labour Party MP Gareth Thomas asked the Leader of the House of Commons about the steps being taken to ensure there is "no repeat of such behaviour".

The protests began around April 9, sparked by a severe shortage of essentials due to lack of foreign currency, which hit imports.
