The Jharkhand government declared three-day state mourning in honour of former CM Shibu Soren, who died on Monday morning, according to a statement.
Soren, the founder of the state's ruling JMM, died at 81 at a hospital in New Delhi following a prolonged illness.
The government has also cancelled all its scheduled programmes during the period, the statement said.
All state government offices will remain closed on August 4 and 5, it said.
"The state government has decided to observe three days of state mourning from August 4 to August 6, 2025, following the death of former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren this morning at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi," it added.
The national flag will be flown at half-mast at all buildings in Jharkhand, the statement said.

Shibu Soren, the veteran tribal leader who played a key role in Jharkhand's creation and founded the JMM, leaves behind a legacy that reshaped the country's politics.
The death of 81-year-old Soren marks the end of a political era that saw tribal movement rise to national prominence.
Born on January 11, 1944, in Ramgarh district's Nemra village (then in Bihar, now in Jharkhand), Soren, who was popularly known as 'Dishom Guru' (leader of the land) and patriarch of JMM, is one of the most enduring political figures in the country's tribal and regional political landscape.
His political life was defined by continuous advocacy for the rights for tribals.
According to Soren's family, his early life was marked by personal tragedy and deep socio-economic struggles.
Soren was 15 years old when his father, Shobaran Soren, was allegedly killed by moneylenders in Lukaiyatand forest, some 16 km from Gola block headquarters on November 27, 1957. This left a deep impact on him and became a catalyst for his future political activism.
In 1973, Soren co-founded the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) along with Bengali Marxist trade unionist AK Roy and Kurmi-Mahto leader Binod Bihari Mahto during a public meeting at Golf Ground Dhanbad.
The JMM soon became the primary political voice for the demand for a separate tribal state and got support across the Chotanagpur and Santhal Pargana regions.
Soren&rsquo;s grassroots mobilisation against feudal exploitation is said to have shaped him into a tribal icon.
After decades of agitation, steered by him and others, the demand for a separate state was finally fulfilled with the formation of Jharkhand on November 15, 2000.
Soren&rsquo;s influence was not confined to state politics.
He was elected several times to the Lower House from Dumka &ndash; the eighth time between May 2014-2019 as member of the 16th Lok Sabha. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in June 2020.
As a key figure in the UPA government, he served as Union Coal Minister from May 23 to July 24, 2004; November 27, 2004 to March 2, 2005; and January 29 to November 2006.
However, his ministerial stints at the Centre were overshadowed by serious legal challenges.
In July 2004, an arrest warrant was issued against him in connection with the 1975 Chirudih massacre case, in which he was named the main accused in the killing of 11 people.
He went underground briefly before being arrested.
After spending time in judicial custody, he was granted bail in September 2004 and re-inducted into the Union Cabinet in November.
Later, a court in March 2008 absolved him of all charges.
His legal woes didn&rsquo;t end there.
On November 28, 2006, Soren, along with others, was convicted in the sensational 1994 kidnapping and murder case of his former personal secretary, Shashinath Jha.
The CBI alleged that Jha was murdered in Ranchi because he possessed knowledge about a political payoff deal between the Congress and JMM during a no-confidence motion against the Narasimha Rao government in 1993.
The case drew nationwide attention, though Soren later successfully appealed the conviction.
The Supreme Court in April 2018 upheld Soren&rsquo;s acquittal in the case.
Despite these controversies, Soren remained a towering figure in Jharkhand&rsquo;s political sphere.
He served as Chief Minister of Jharkhand three times &mdash; in March 2005 (for just 10 days from March 2 to March 11), August 27, 2008 to January 12, 2009, and from December 30, 2009 to May 31, 2010.
Each term was short-lived due to the fragile nature of coalition politics in the state.
In June 2007, Soren survived an assassination attempt when bombs were hurled at his convoy near Dumaria village in Deoghar district while he was being escorted to jail in Dumka, after appearing in a court in Giridih, underlining the high stakes and volatile environment surrounding his political life.
Yet, his political dominance in Jharkhand politics endured, both through his personal appeal and through his party, which he continues to lead as founding patron.
Soren served as the JMM&rsquo;s chief for 38 years until April 2025, when he was made the party&rsquo;s founding patron. His son, Hemant Soren, who had served as executive president, was elected JMM president.
The party is currently a member of the opposition INDIA bloc at the national level.
Shibu Soren's personal life has also been closely tied to his political narrative.
He is survived by wife Roopi Soren, three sons and daughter Anjani, who is the party&rsquo;s Odisha unit head.
His elder son Durga Soren died in May 2009.
The other son Hemant Soren, has carried forward the family&rsquo;s political legacy and currently serves as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, having held the position across multiple terms.
His youngest son Basant Soren is a legislator.
For many in Jharkhand, Shibu Soren remains a symbol of their long-fought struggle for identity and self-rule&mdash;a legacy that continues through the next generation.

Shibu Soren, a former chief minister of the eastern state, was undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi for over a month for kidney-related problems.
"Respected Dishom Guruji has left us all... I have become 'shunya' (zero) today," Hemant Soren posted on X.

Shibu Soren had been regularly receiving treatment at the hospital for an extended period of time.
According to Dr A K Bhalla, chairman of the Nephrology Department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Shibu Soren was declared dead at 8.56 am.
The tribal leader died after a prolonged illness.
"He was suffering from kidney ailments, and had suffered a stroke a month and a half back. He was on life support for the last one month," the doctor said.
"He was admitted here recently, so we came to see him. His health issues are currently being examined," Hemant Soren had said on June 24 when his father was admitted to the hospital in the national capital.
Last week, Hemant Soren had said that Shibu Soren had fought several battles and he would win his health battle too.
Shibu Soren had been the leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha for the past 38 years and is recognised as the party's founding patron.

A JMM-led alliance delegation met Governor Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.
The delegation headed by Hemant Soren comprised Congress state unit president Rajesh Thakur, RJD minister Satyanand Bhokta and MLA Vinod Singh.

Speaking to reporters, Champai said that he stepped down after the JMM and alliance legislators gave consensus to make Hemant the leader of the alliance.
"A few days ago, I was made the Chief Minister and I got the responsibility of the state. After Hemant Soren was back, our alliance took this decision and we chose Hemant Soren as our leader. Now, I have resigned from the post of chief minister," Champai told reporters.
Earlier in the day, leaders and MLAs of the ruling coalition at a meeting at Champai Soren&rsquo;s residence here unanimously decided to elect Hemant Soren as the JMM legislature party leader.
"I have resigned as per the decision of the JMM-led alliance. Our alliance is strong," Champai Soren said after coming out of Raj Bhavan.
"All know what had happened with Hemant Soren Ji... I was given the responsibility by the coalition partners. Now, the alliance has decided in favour of Hemant Soren Ji," he said.
Hemant Soren told the media all formalities to form the government are complete.
"Everything will be disclosed soon," the JMM executive president said when asked about the swearing-in.
He will be the chief minister of Jharkhand for the third time.
The ruling coalition delegation which met the governor included state Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir, state Congress president Rajesh Thakur, RJD minister Satyanand Bhokta, CPI(ML) legislator Vinod Singh, besides Champai Soren and Hemant Soren.

JMM executive president Hemant Soren is likely to return as chief minister of Jharkhand for the third time following consensus among legislators of the party-led alliance in the state, party sources said on Wednesday.
Sources said Champai Soren, who had taken oath as the 12th chief minister of Jharkhand on February 2 after Hemant Soren's arrest, may resign from the post soon.
Champai Soren has sought an appointment with Governor CP Radhakrishnan and the CM will call on him at 7.30 pm on Wednesday, Raj Bhavan sources said.
Leaders and MLAs of the alliance during a meeting at Champai Soren&rsquo;s residence here unanimously decided to elect Hemant Soren as the JMM legislature party leader, they said.
"A decision was taken in the meeting to make Hemant Soren as the Chief Minister of the state again," a party source told PTI.
If sworn in, Hemant Soren will be the 13th chief minister of Jharkhand, which was carved out of Bihar on November 15, 2000.
Congress's Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir and its state president Rajesh Thakur also attended the meeting, besides Hemant Soren's brother Basant and wife Kalpana.

Meanwhile, in a post on X, BJP MP Nishkant Dubey said, "The Champai Soren era is over in Jharkhand. In the family-oriented party, people outside the family have no political future. I wish the chief minister drew inspiration from Bhagwan Birsa Munda and stood up against the corrupt Hemant Soren ji." Jharkhand BJP president Babulal Marandi asserted that the tribals outside Shibu Soren&rsquo;s family are only temporary faces in JMM. That family believes in using people as per their needs and requirements, he alleged.
Hemant is a son of Shibu Soren.
Marandi alleged that the real face of JMM, which had talked about rising above nepotism and electing a new chief minister five months ago, has once again been exposed.
He claimed that the "tiger of Kolhan", as Champai Soren is known in political circles, has been turned into a mouse today.
While Jharkhand can have 12 ministers, the state Cabinet at present has a strength of 10.
After the Lok Sabha elections, the strength of the JMM-led alliance in the state was reduced to 45 MLAs &ndash; JMM-27, Congress-17 and RJD-1.
Two JMM MLAs, Nalin Soren and Joba Majhi, are now parliamentarians, while Jama legislator Sita Soren resigned to contest the general elections on a BJP ticket. The JMM expelled two more legislators &ndash; Bishunpur MLA Chamra Linda and Boriyo MLA Lobin Hembrom &ndash; from the party.
Likewise, the BJP's strength in the assembly has reduced to 24, as two of its MLAs &ndash; Dhulu Mahto (Baghmara) and Manish Jaiswal (Hazaribag) &ndash;are now MPs. The saffron party has expelled Mandu MLA Jaiprakash Bhai Patel after he joined the Congress to contest the polls.
The current strength of the 81-member Jharkhand assembly is 76.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday declared a &ldquo;rebellion&rdquo; against &ldquo;feudal forces&rdquo;, asserting that the opposition INDIA bloc will drive out the BJP from across the country.
Soren, addressing a rally here on the occasion of 'Hul Diwas', also claimed that the saffron party has turned &ldquo;jittery&rdquo; after his release from jail and its leaders are &ldquo;conspiring&rdquo; against him again.
"I have stepped out of my home for the first time post my release to address you on &lsquo;Hul Diwas&rsquo;. It is a day of inspiration for all of us. Like the Santhal uprising against the British, we declare 'Hul rebellion' to drive out feudal forces not only from Jharkhand but across the country," he said.
The day marks the 1855 Santhal rebellion against the British.
&ldquo;I was implicated in false cases... The Centre unleashes its probe agencies to harass those who raise their voice against it. It is only two days that I am out of jail, but the BJP is jittery. Top party leaders are frequenting Jharkhand and conspiring against me again," he said.
The JMM executive president also asserted that Jharkhand is known as a land of revolutionaries and &ldquo;we are not afraid of jail, lathi or execution&rdquo;.
"It has come to my knowledge that they (BJP) are making plans to prepone assembly elections (in Jharkhand)... I dare them to conduct the elections any day they wish to... We are prepared. They will face a crushing defeat," he said, urging people to be ready to face &ldquo;testing times ahead&rdquo;.
Soren, who began his speech with 'Hul Johar' - a salutation in Santhal language meaning 'revolutionary solution', claimed that when he started demanding the rights of tribals, including Rs 1.36 lakh crore from the Centre in lieu of coal resources, he was sent behind bars.
&ldquo;But, the task I initiated and the war I waged will not stop," the former CM asserted.
He said a legislation will be brought in, which will ensure that benefits of the mines and minerals reach the people of Jharkhand first, contending that resources from the state were &ldquo;making other places rich while its inhabitants were forced to live in poverty and backwardness&rdquo;.
Soren also hit out at the Centre, alleging that prices of essential commodities were soaring, and examination papers were getting regularly leaked.
The former CM was released on Friday from the Birsa Munda Jail after the Jharkhand high court granted bail to him in a money laundering case.
He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam.
Chief Minister Champai Soren, speaking on the occasion, alleged that his predecessor was put behind bars as he was talking about the welfare of the poor, dalits and tribals.
&ldquo;He (Hemant Soren) was sent to jail on false allegations made by those who have been looting Jharkhand,&rdquo; the CM said.
Champai Soren also inaugurated and laid the foundation of 396 projects worth about Rs 290 crore.
Those present in the rally included Hemant Soren's wife and JMM legislator Kalpana Soren and brother Basant Soren, who is also a minister.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme paid rich tributes to tribal freedom fighters Veer Sidhu and Kanhu, who led the Santhal uprising against the British rule in 1855.

After getting bail by the high court in a money laundering case linked to a land scam, former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren walked out of the jail on 28th of June.
As Soren stepped out of the jail, a large number of JMM supporters cheered and raised slogans in favour of him.
Speaking to reporters, he said, "After 5 months, I have come out of jail legally. The last 5 months remained worrisome for Jharkhand,&rdquo; Soren told reporters. &ldquo;The whole country knows why I went to jail...&rdquo;
Soren's wife Kalpana Soren, a JMM legislator, thanked the judiciary and people for their support.
"Heman Soren was released from the jail after completion of legal formalities," the official said.
Soren, on his release from the jail, was seen waving at people and seeking blessings from his father and JMM supremo Shibu Soren.
A single bench of Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay granted bail to the former chief minister of Jharkhand earlier in the day.
"...The petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs 50,000 with two sureties of the like amount each," said the order passed by Justice Mukhopadhyay.
Soren, the executive president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31 in connection with its investigation into the money laundering case.

The Jharkhand High Court on Friday granted bail to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a money laundering case linked to a land scam.
The high court had on June 13 reserved its decision on Soren's bail plea.
"Bail has been granted to Soren. The court has held that prima facie he is not guilty of the offence and there is no likelihood of the petitioner committing an offence when on bail," Soren's senior counsel Arunabh Chowdhury told PTI.

Soren's lawyer decided to withdraw the plea after the apex court raised tough questions on non-disclosure of key facts, that a similar plea, seeking interim bail and challenging his ED arrest, was filed before a trial court.
The court asked Soren's lawyer Kapil Sibal why they had not informed the bench that the trial court had already taken cognizance of it.
A vacation bench of Justices Dipankar Datta and Satish Chandra Sharma allowed Soren&rsquo;s counsel Kapil Sibal to withdraw his plea after warning that if the court goes into the details of the case it will be &ldquo;damaging&rdquo; for the former chief minister.
&ldquo;Your conduct tells a lot. We expected your client to come up with candour but you suppressed material facts,&rdquo; the bench told Sibal &ldquo;Your conduct is not without blemish,&rdquo; the bench told Sibal, after he tried to defend Soren saying he is in custody and does not have any knowledge about the petitions being filed in courts.
&ldquo;He is not a layman,&rdquo; the bench observed and said it will dismiss his plea against arrest without going into the merit of the case. Sibal then agreed to withdraw the plea, which was allowed by the bench.
The ED had earlier told the apex court that Soren's arrest on January 31 has been upheld by the Jharkhand High Court and his regular bail application was dismissed by the trial court on May 13.
On May 13, Soren referred to the top court's order granting interim bail to Kejriwal in the money laundering case against him linked to the alleged Delhi excise scam and sought identical relief for himself.
In his appeal filed through advocate Praghya Baghel, the JMM leader said the high court had erred in dismissing his plea.
The ED has alleged that "huge amounts of proceeds of crime" were generated by Soren through manipulation of official records by showing dummy sellers and purchasers in the guise of forged/bogus documents to acquire huge parcels of land having value in crores of rupees.
The probe against Soren pertains to an 8.86-acre plot of land in Ranchi that the ED has alleged was illegally acquired by him.
Soren is currently lodged in judicial custody in Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail.

The Supreme Court on Monday sought the Enforcement Directorate's response by May 17 on a plea of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and former chief minister Hemant Soren, challenging his arrest in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam.
A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta, which was initially listing the matter on May 20, had to change the date to May 17 after senior advocate Kapil Sibal said polls would be over by then and he would be prejudiced if the long date is given in the matter.
"My case is covered by Arvind Kejriwal's order and I need bail for election campaigning," Sibal told the bench.
The bench said this week it is too much work and a lot of matters are listed.
It expressed unwillingness to change the date from May 20 but after Sibal and senior advocate Arunabh Chowdhury, appearing for Soren persisted with the request, the date was changed to May 17.
"We don&rsquo;t know whether we will be able to take up the matter but still we are posting it for May 17," the bench said.
Soren, in his plea, challenged the May 3 order of the Jharkhand High Court dismissing his petition against the arrest. He had also sought interim bail for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections till the court delivered its verdict on his plea against arrest.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached 8.86 acres of land in Ranchi allegedly owned by former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren as part of a money laundering investigation against him and his associates, the federal agency said on Thursday.
The ED had filed a charge sheet against the 48-year-old JMM leader and four others -- Bhanu Pratap Prasad, Raj Kumar Pahan, Hilariyas Kachhap and Binod Singh -- on March 30 before a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court here.
The court took cognisance of the prosecution complaint on Thursday, the ED said in a statement.
The ED requested the court for confiscation of the 8.86-acre plot.
Soren was arrested in this case by the ED in January after he was questioned at his official residence in Ranchi. He resigned as the chief minister shortly before his arrest. He is in judicial custody and currently lodged in the Birsa Munda central jail in Ranchi's Hotwar.
The money laundering investigation stems from multiple FIRs registered by Jharkhand Police in land "scam" cases against several people, including government officials.
The prime accused in the case is Prasad, a former Jharkhand revenue department official and custodian of government records, who is alleged to have "misused" his official position by providing assistance to several people including Soren in their activities linked to illegal occupation, acquisition and possession of proceeds of crime in the form of landed properties, the agency said in its statement.
"A racket of land mafia is active in Jharkhand which used to forge the land records in Ranchi," it claimed.
During the probe, the ED said, it was found that the ownership records of lands had also been "forged" to extend favours to the said land mafia and subsequently, on the basis of forged land records, such land parcels were sold to other persons.
"Original land records of ownerships are either tampered or concealed to facilitate unlawful acquisition, possession and use of such properties," it said.
Prasad, the ED said in its charge sheet, was a member of a syndicate which was involved in acquiring lands by fraudulent means which included tampering with original government registers, falsification of government records and manufacturing fake documents.
The land that is alleged to have been acquired by Soren is about 8.86 acres in size and located at Baragain Anchal, Bariyatu Road in Ranchi.
It was valued at Rs 31,07,02,480 as per urban residential property rate of Rs 3,50,680 per decimal, stated the ED charge sheet, which was accessed by PTI.
The agency said Soren was in the "possession" of this immovable asset since 2010-11 in a "camouflaged and concealed" manner.
It also accused Soren of "misusing his power and influence" to create "parallel and false evidence" since he was issued the first summons for questioning in this case on August 7, 2023 for appearance a week later.
The agency said they have recorded the statement of a person identified as Baijnath Munda and his cousin Shyamlal Pahan who claimed that the land, which Soren is alleged to have taken over, "was originally owned by his ancestors and was forcefully acquired by Shibu Soren (Hemant Soren's father) and Hemant Soren" and their complaint in this regard was not accepted at any police station due to their (Sorens) "high influence".
The ED said the land allegedly "acquired" land was a 'Bhuinhari' property that cannot be transferred or sold to anyone under general situation and 'Mundas' and 'Pahans' were the owners of such land assets.
"Since this 8.86 acre property was vacant and no construction was done on it, Hemant Soren, in connivance with others, got hold over his property illegally by asserting it as 'Bhuinhari' property and the earlier persons having possession of the said land were evicted...," the ED claimed.
The agency claimed Soren and Prasad were "knowingly" a party in the activities connected with acquisition, possession, concealment and use of proceeds of crime as well as projecting the said proceeds of crime (8.86 acres land) as untainted property.
Accused Pahan, Kachhap and Singh "knowingly assisted" Soren in his activities connected with the proceeds of crime.
Soren, in his statement to the ED, denied having any link to the said property and said he had no relation with Prasad.
The ED said during its searches at a residential house "under use and control" of Soren in Delhi on January 29, Rs 36.34 lakh cash, a BMW car and incriminating documents were seized.
It said Soren said in his statement to the agency that he used this car the same day. The agency claimed the former CM purchased it by personally visiting the vehicle showroom.
The ED said it has arrested 16 people in the case including IAS officer and former Ranchi district collector Chhavi Ranjan, Amit Kumar Agarwal and Prem Prakash.

Earlier, Kalpana Soren expressed support to Sunita Kejriwal and her family, and said that the whole of Jharkhand stands with Arvind Kejriwal.

Ahead of the 'maha rally' in Delhi, former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren met jailed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal at the latter's residence on Saturday.
PTI news agency, quoting officials, reported that the meeting between the two lasted for 15-20 minutes.
"Despite the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal ji and Hemant Soren ji by the dictatorial government, they (the two women) are standing strong and fighting with the people of their respective states," the AAP said on social media X.
Hemant Soren was arrested and jailed in January by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam in Jharkhand.
Expressing support to Sunita Kejriwal and her family, Kalpana Soren, while referring to her husband's arrest, said the same incident that happened in Jharkhand has happened in Delhi, too.
"After arresting my husband Hemant Soren ji, Arvind Kejriwal ji has been arrested. The whole of Jharkhand stands with Sunita Kejriwal ji. We have shared each other's pain. And we have decided that together we will take this fight forward," Kalpana Soren told reporters after reaching Delhi.
Kalpna Soren along with Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren is scheduled to attend the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc leaders&rsquo; rally, which was announced after the AAP national convener Kejriwal&rsquo;s arrest, on Sunday.
Sunita Kejriwal is also likely to take part in the rally, AAP leaders said.
Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in a money laundering case linked to the now-scrapped excise policy of his government.

Jharkhand&rsquo;s JMM-led coalition government headed by Chief Minister Champai Soren won the vote of confidence in the assembly on Monday.
While 47 MLAs voted in favour of the confidence motion, 29 legislators opposed it in the 81-member assembly. Independent legislator Saryu Roy abstained.
Seventy-seven MLAs were present in the assembly during the voting.
The ruling alliance comprises the JMM, Congress and the RJD while it is supported from outside by the lone CPIML(L) legislator.
The BJP-led opposition has 26 legislators of the saffron party and three of the AJSU Party.
JMM legislature party leader Champai Soren took oath as the chief minister of Jharkhand on February 2, after his predecessor Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last week in a money laundering case.
Champai Soren was given 10 days to prove his government&rsquo;s majority on the floor of the house. He decided that the trust vote will be held on February 5.
Hemant Soren, who is in ED custody now, took part in the trust vote following permission granted by a special PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court.
About 38 legislators of the ruling alliance had gone to Hyderabad, the capital of Congress-ruled Telangana, in two flights on February 2, amid the coalition's fears that the BJP might attempt to "poach" them in the run-up to the trust vote. JMM legislative party leader Champai Soren was sworn in as the chief minister of Jharkhand on Friday, days after his predecessor and party chief Hemant Soren was arrested.
Governor C P Radhakrishnan accepted his claim to form the government after the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha claimed there was "confusion" in the state which was without a chief minister since the resignation of Hemant Soren on Wednesday.
Champai Soren-led JMM-Congress alliance has been given 10 days to prove majority.
State Congress chief Rajesh Thakur had earlier said the new government would take oath "before the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra enters the state."
The JMM also released a video in which 43 legislators were present to show the coalition strength in the 81-member Jharkhand assembly.
