The family members of the 19-year-old Dalit woman, who died after allegedly being gangraped by four men in Uttar Pradesh&rsquo;s Hathras district, appeared before the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court amid tight security. The court had on October 1 asked the woman&rsquo;s family to apprise it of their version of the incident. The hearing is likely to be held in-person. The court had ordered the Hathras district administration to arrange for the family&rsquo;s travel.

Upset with the alleged gang-rape and murder of a 19-year-old Dalit woman in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh and her forcible cremation subsequently, a Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Thursday summoned top government officials to the court.
Uttar Pradesh additional chief secretary, director general of police and additional director general of police, have been asked to appear in court on October 12.&nbsp; to explain the case. Officials have been asked to come prepared with all the relevant material and documents to apprise the court.
The bench also asked the late teen's parent to come to the court and ordered the Hathras district administration to arrange for their travel to the court.
