Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's government carried out its first cabinet expansion on March 19. During the oath ceremony at Haryana Raj Bhawan, Badkhal MLA Seema Trikha, Panipat Rural MLA Mahipal Dhanda and&nbsp; Dr Kamal Gupta were sworn in as cabinet ministers.&nbsp;
Additionally, BJP leaders Mahipal Dhanda, Aseem Goel and Dr Abhe Singh Yadav, along with Subhash Sudha and Bishamber Singh took oath as ministers in the Haryana cabinet.

Saini and five ministers were inducted into the cabinet last week.
Haryana can have a maximum of 14 ministers, including the chief minister.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Saini, while interacting with reporters after paying obeisance at Nada Sahib Gurdwara in Panchkula, said that Vij is "our respected leader and we have been regularly getting guidance from him".

The Haryana Government has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) aimed at ensuring uniformity in the process of preparing answers to questions raised in the Assembly by members.
A letter written by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal to all administrative secretaries stated that since ministers usually respond in Hindi, answers should primarily be drafted in Hindi and then translated into English.
Furthermore, the SOP emphasizes the need for precise and concise responses. Answers to questions should generally not exceed 50 words. If the reply exceeds this limit, it should be presented in the form of a statement to be laid on the Table of the House. Additionally, answers should avoid containing tabular figures, columns, rows, or graphs/ bar diagrams unless attached to a statement laid on the Table of the House. This approach is logical as the contents of tables may not be easily interpreted by the concerned minister while replying to the question in the Assembly.
According to the SOP, the notepad should be divided into four parts. The first part should include the content of the answers in Hindi and the second part in English. The third part should contain background notes, and the fourth part should include possible supplementary questions and their drafts.
The SOP further specifies that many questions are in two parts, where the first part (Part-A) pertains to whether a particular work or project has been decided by the Government. Subsequently, Part-B asks for details if the answer to Part-A is affirmative. In cases where the answer is negative, the response can be formulated by combining Parts A and B and simply stating 'No Sir.' Often, answers are provided with 'No, Sir' in Part-A and 'Question does not arise' in Part-B, which may come across as rude and are disliked by members. In such cases, combining Parts A and B and stating 'No, Sir' is suggested for a more respectful response.

Haryana Vidhan Sabha cleared the Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Bill, 2024 and The Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Haryana Amendment) Repeal Bill, 2024, on the third day of the budget session. While the Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was passed to amend the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973. The Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Haryana Amendment) Repeal Bill, 2024 was passed to repeal the Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1957.
Municipalities in the State of Haryana have three tiers of hierarchy based on population criteria i.e., Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Municipal Committee. There were only Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees in the State till 1994 due to the small urban population. Haryana Municipal Act, 1973 (Act No. 24 of 1973) was enacted to govern the matters of municipalities in the State of Haryana.
Repeal of the Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1957. The Act shall revive or restore any jurisdiction, office, custom, privilege, restriction, exemption, usage, practice, procedure or other matter or thing not now existing or in force.
The Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Haryana Amendment) Repeal Bill, 2024, which is related to repeal of the Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Haryana Amendment) Act, 1957, is repealed by a Legislative Bill. Therefore, this bill has been presented.

The Haryana government has set a target of spraying nano-urea on one lakh acres of land in the state. The aim of the scheme is to reduce the use of chemical fertilisers and to promote natural farming, as part of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department initiative.&nbsp;
Under the scheme, the government will provide nano-urea to farmers at half price. Farmers in all districts of the state can apply for the scheme on the portal till February 15, 2024.
Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson said that nano urea spraying will be conducted on 7,000 acres of land each in Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Hisar, Karnal, and Sirsa.&nbsp;
Similarly, in Kurukshetra, Jind, and Kaithal, it will be done on 6,000 acres each, while in Sonipat and Yamunanagar, on 5,000 acres each. Ambala, Panipat, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Rohtak, and Palwal will see the benefits of spraying on 4,000 acres of farmers' land. Additionally, in Mewat and Jhajjar, it will be on 3,000 acres each, Charkhi Dadri, Faridabad, and Gurugram on 2,000 acres each, and Panchkula on 1,000 acres.
Under the scheme, farmers will be provided a bottle of nano-urea for only Rs.100. The remaining cost will be borne by the state government. Drones and other methods will also be used to spray the nano-urea in the fields.
