BJP MP Manoj Tiwari was fined by the Delhi traffic police, hours after videos of him riding a two-wheeler without helmet at the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bike rally went viral. 
The police have issued four challans to him totalling Rs 21,000 and also fined the owner of the motorbike.
Tiwari along with several other BJP MPs and ministers took part in a bike rally from Red Fort to New Delhi near the Parliament House. 
Tiwari posted a tweet stating that he will pay the fine.

The Congress objected to an advertisement issued by the BJP government in Karnataka regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

The Congress objected to an advertisement issued by the BJP government in Karnataka regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
The Congress criticised the BJP for excluding India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru from the list of eminent freedom fighters featured in the advertisement. The ones part of the list included MK Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Vinayak Savarkar, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal, BR Ambedkar, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and Abul Kalam Azad.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah accused incumbent CM Basavaraj Bommai of being "a slave of RSS". Siddaramaiah accused Bommai of casteism for placing Ambedkar in the second row, and Savarkar in the first row.
Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said that the "unending hatred" for India's first Prime Minister has "reached its zenith".
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that Nehru will survive such "pettiness". He added that what CM Bommai has done is "an insult to his father SR Bommai and his political guru MN Roy" both of whom were "great Nehru admirers".
The BJP was unfazed by Congress' attacks. News agency PTI quoted State BJP General Secretary N Ravi Kumar as saying that Nehru was left out "intentionally".
Kumar said, "When we are observing 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' today on the call given by our prime minister, what is the point of using his photograph? Nehru was a person who did not heed Gandhi's call. He was responsible for Partition, which saw massive bloodshed of common people. So, we did not put his photograph."

Former Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel suffered a minor fracture in his left leg after a stray cow rammed into him during a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' rally in Mehsana district. 
A large number of people had joined in a procession organised by the state BJP at Kadi in Mehsana district to celebrate 75 years of Independence, Patel told reporters at his residence in Ahmedabad.
"A Tiranga Yatra had been organised at Kadi where nearly 2,000 people participated. It had completed almost 70 percent of the distance and reached a vegetable market when a cow suddenly came running," Patel said.
In the commotion, he and a few others were thrown down to the ground, he said.
In a video clip, the cow is seen rushing past them and security personnel and others coming to Patel's help.

He had difficulty walking when he stood up, he said.
He was taken to a private hospital where X-ray and CT scan showed that he had a minor fracture in his left leg, Patel added.
"The doctors fixed a temporary splint to stabilize the leg and advised me to take rest for 20-25 days," he said.

Yati Narsinghanand, a controversial Hindu seer who propagates Hindutva, has come under police scanner after he called upon Hindus to boycott Centre's &ldquo;Har Ghar Tiranga&rdquo; campaign launched to mark the 75th Independence Day.
In a video that went viral on social media, the hate speech accused is seen claiming that the campaign would end up benefitting a Muslim-owned company in West Bengal.
After the video was circulated widely, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Iraj Raja said they are looking into the matter and would take appropriate legal action accordingly under relevant sections of law.
In the video, Yati is heard saying that to manufacture flags on a mass scale, the government has given contract to a West bengal-based company that is owned by a Muslim named Salauddin, and added that Hindus are the &ldquo;biggest hypocrites in the world.&rdquo; "When these people came in power they awarded government tenders to Muslims. The money which Hindus will pay to buy tricolour would be pocketed by a Muslim and that will be donated to 'Jihadis,'' he said.

&ldquo;This is one big conspiracy against Hindus. If you [Hindus] want to stay alive, then stop giving your money to Muslims in the name of this campaign," he added.
The video was released earlier this month but it came to light only on Friday.
In July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the &ldquo;Har Ghar Tiranga&rdquo; campaign encouraging citizens to display the tricolour at their homes from August 13 to 15.
Narsinghanand was arrested on January 15 after he called for the genocide of Muslims at a 'Dharam Sansad' or religious conclave at Haridwar and got bail in the case on February 7.
However, on April 17, he delivered another inflammatory speech in Himachal Pradesh where he asked Hindus to have more children to make sure India does not become an Islamic country.
