The anti-terrorism court Lahore in April this year had handed nine-year imprisonment each to JuD senior leaders &mdash;Prof. Malik Zafar Iqbal, Yahya Mujahid (JuD spokesperson), Nasarullah, Samiullah and Umar Bahadur&mdash;and six months&rsquo; jail term to Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki (brother-in-law of Saeed) after an FIR was registered by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Punjab Police.
The trial court had found these leaders guilty of terror financing. They had been collecting funds and unlawfully financing the proscribed organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). It had also ordered the confiscation of assets made from funds collected through terrorism financing.

India on Thursday rubbished Pakistan&rsquo;s claim that India was behind a bomb blast near the house of JuD chief Hafiz Saeed in Lahore last month.
Calling it 'baseless propaganda', India asked Islamabad to take &ldquo;credible and verifiable" action against terrorism emanating from its soil instead. 
At a media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi asked Pakistan to focus on setting its own house in order in containing terror networks, saying that the world is well aware of Pak's credentials when it comes to terrorism.

India on Monday rejected Pakistan&rsquo;s claim that an Indian citizen was behind a powerful bomb blast outside the house of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind and chief of the banned Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Saeed in Lahore last month.
According to a report by News18, government sources said that charges of Indian involvement in Johar town blast 'are baseless and motivated'. They held that &lsquo;before maligning any government agency, Pakistan should collect hard evidence&rsquo;
They went on to add that Pakistan is giving shelter to all Jihadi groups including the Taliban and cited the Pakistani interior minister and ISI chief had spoken about &nbsp;harbouring millions of Talibanis in Pakistan.

Pakistan to stay on FATF's grey list for terror financing

Huge setback for Imran&nbsp;Khan, FATF&nbsp;keeps Pakistan on its 'grey list' for terror financing

The&nbsp;Financial Action Task Force or the&nbsp;FATF, the world&rsquo;s top anti-terrorism monitoring group, on Friday voted to keep Pakistan on a grey list for the Imran Khan government&rsquo;s&nbsp;failure to fully comply&nbsp;with a 27-point action plan handed to it earlier.
The FATF&nbsp;said that not only have more than 4,000 terrorists gone missing&nbsp;from Pakistani government's records but the country has also taken in India's most wanted terrorists,&nbsp;Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed.
The latest decision comes as a huge setback for Imran Khan who had made efforts in the run-up to the virtual meeting of the FATF plenary to get his country off-the-hook. It could also mean that Pakistan will remain on the grey list for a minimum of six months till its performance can be reviewed.
