The trailer of Nawazuddin Siddiqui&rsquo;s much-awaited film &lsquo;Haddi&rsquo; has been released. The crime drama, which introduces Nawazuddin as a transgender for the first time on screen, revolves around a nexus of the criminal underbelly operating in the &lsquo;modern ruins&rsquo; of Delhi NCR, Gurgaon, and Noida.
The clip shows the journey of his character transforming from being a rookie transgender who survived petty crimes to moving to Delhi from Allahabad in order to join the transgenders community.
He seeks revenge for his transgender family who was wronged by a powerful gangster-political leader, played by Anurag Kashyap.
&lsquo;Haddi&rsquo; also stars Ila Arun, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva, Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Sharma, and Saharsh Shukla.
Sharing the trailer of Haddi, Nawazuddin wrote, &lsquo;Has revenge ever looked this bone-chilling? #Haddi aa raha hai (is coming) with a tale of vengeance that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Releasing on 7th September only on #ZEE5 #HaddiOnZEE5.&rsquo;
The movie is directed and co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla. Produced by Zee Studios and Anandita studios, &lsquo;Haddi&rsquo; is all set to premiere on Zee5 on September 7.

Nawazuddin also said, ‘I believe that khudi ko itna enhance kar lo, khud ko aisa bana lo ki money aur fame aapke ghulam ban jaaye aur aap ke peeche bhaage (Enhance yourself as much that money and fame become your slaves and run after you).’

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who started his career in the film industry by doing small roles, recently opened up about not taking up such projects anymore even if he is offered Rs 25 crore.
In an interview with ETimes, the actor talked about doing films where he had small roles and said, &lsquo;And I am done with that. Ab toh aap mujhe 25 crore bhi denge toh bhi main chhota role nahi karunga (Now, I won't do a small role even if you offer me ₹25 crore for the part).'
The actor also talked about how money and fame are by-products of one's work.&nbsp;
'I feel that money and fame are just by-products of your work. If you just do your job well, money and fame will run after you. If you chase them, you will never find them, so just keep doing good work.' &nbsp; &lsquo;We sometimes chase money and fame all our lives and get nothing. I believe that khud ko itna enhance kar lo, khud ko aisa bana lo ki money aur fame aapke ghulam ban jaaye aur aap ke peeche bhaage (Enhance yourself as much that money and fame become your slaves and run after you),&rsquo; he added.&nbsp;
Nawazuddin rose to fame in 2012 with Anurag Kashyap's &lsquo;Gangs of Wasseypur&rsquo; where he played the role of Faisal Khan.
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will next be seen in &lsquo;Haddi&rsquo; in the role of a transwoman. He also has &lsquo;Tiku Weds Sheru&rsquo;, &lsquo;Bole Chudiya&rsquo;, &lsquo;Jogira Sa Ra Ra Ra&rsquo; and &lsquo;Afwah&rsquo; in the pipeline.&nbsp;

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's look from his forthcoming film 'Haddi' was shared on Zee Studios' official social media account. He will be portraying the role of a transgender.
In the pictures, Nawazuddin is seen in a green silk saree with a red bindi on his forehead and matching bangles. He is seen looking at the camera as he poses with his hand on the waist. He stood with a group of women.
Sharing the pictures, Zee Studio wrote, &lsquo;From working with the transgender community on sets to playing one, the experience of shooting &lsquo;Haddi&rsquo; has been surreal for @Nawazuddin._siddiqui.&rsquo; &lsquo;#Haddi releasing in 2023,&rsquo; it added.
Soon after the post was shared, fans started to compare his look with actors Kajol, Archana and Raveena Tandon. While one user wrote, &lsquo;First picture reminded me of Kajal, somehow. No offence.&rsquo; While another user commented, &lsquo;Archna ma'am real ID se aao.&rsquo;
Earlier, when his look was shared, many compared him to Archana Puran Singh.
'Haddi' is directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma. It is slated to release in theatres next year.
