A statue of teen climate activist Greta Thunberg, recently installed at the&nbsp;University of Winchester in England, has sparked outrage among students.
The&nbsp;&pound;24,000 statue is being labelled a 'vanity project' by students, who believe that the money could have been spent on something more substantial.
The statue is apparently the first life-sized one of the Swedish climate activist.
In its defence, the university authorities added that no money was 'diverted' from student support, for the project.

Greta Thunberg leads global youth climate strike amid pandemic

Swedish teen climate activist Greta Thunberg started a day of climate protests, globally, with a strike in front of the parliament in Sweden.&nbsp;This is also the same spot where she began her 'Fridays For Future' school strikes for climate, almost two years ago.
While there will be no large protest or march in the wake of Covid-19, several small activities have been planned across the country.
Greta took to Instagram to reveal that today is the global day of climate action and strikes in 3100 places have been planned.
