The research was published in The Journal of Dietary Supplements which used data from the Minnesota Green Tea Trial. The team ingested participants with 843 milligrams of a predominant antioxidant found in green tea every day for a year. It was found that people with certain genetic variations are more likely to suffer liver damage as compared to others.
Experts say more than 24 cups of green tea in a day might be harmful for the liver. Hence, it&rsquo;s suggested to consume green tea mindfully just like any other beverage rich in caffeine.
