Government agencies, along with the IT Ministry, are reportedly looking into framing a set of guidelines that is aimed at Chinese manufacturers. The government may test the source code or follow up with component manufacturers of a phone, or look closely at pre-installed apps and where they&rsquo;re sending data. Last year, the government had banned over 200 Chinese apps over data security concerns, among which were some apps that came pre-installed with Xiaomi phones.
