Satinder Singh aka Goldy Brar is a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and a key accused in the murder of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala.
A native of Faridkot district in Punjab, Brar is said to have fled to Canada after being implicated in the murder of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Pehalwan. With Bishnoi lodged in Tihar Jail, Brar is allegedly running the Bishnoi gang remotely through a module in Punjab.

Singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was gunned down in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29, 2022, when he was travelling in a jeep with two others. Six shooters had sprayed bullets on his waylaid vehicle.
In a social media post, Brar claimed that Moosewala was shot dead in retaliation for the murder of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Vicky Middukhera. Earlier, their rival Bambiha gang had taken responsibility for Muddukhera&rsquo;s murder.
A court in Mansa on Wednesday framed charges against Bishnoi and 26 others in the Moosewala murder case. Brar is yet to be arrested, and charges have not been framed against him.
Bishnoi gang also claimed responsibility for the firing outside actor Salman Khan's Mumbai home on April 14. In 2023, Goldy Brar issued a death threat against Khan, calling the Bollywood star his next target after Moosewala.
India designated Brar a terrorist under the anti-terror law UAPA in January, and issued a Red Corner Notice with the Interpol.
In addition to murder and extortion, Brar is accused of involvement in smuggling of high-grade arms, ammunition and explosives across the border through drones. According to the Home Ministry, Brar has ties with the banned terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International, held responsible for raising terror modules, carrying out targeted killings and other anti-national activities.

According to the police, the man killed in an alley at Fairmont and Holt avenues on May 1 was 37-year-old Xavier Gladney.
Police said that the department was receiving several calls from international media and that officers were working to debunk any connections between the slayings.
Lieutenant William J Dooley in a statement said, "If you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is 'Goldy Brar', we can confirm that this is absolutely not true."
Debunking the reports as "misinformation," the lieutenant said, "We have received inquiries from around the world this morning as a result of misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumour, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn't true. The victim is definitely not Goldy."&nbsp;

Singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, who was popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29, 2022.
The prime accused in the sensational case, Canada-based gangster Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar, is yet to be arrested and charges have not been framed against him.
Moosewala was killed when he, along with his friend and cousin, was travelling in a jeep to Jawahar Ke village in Mansa. His vehicle was waylaid and bullets were sprayed on him by six shooters.
After the killing, Goldy Brar, who is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the murder.
According to the charge sheet filed by police, accused Brar was the mastermind behind the murder of Moosewala which was carried out to "avenge" the killing of Vicky Middukhera', a Youth Akali leader, in 2021.
Brar was designated a terrorist by the government under the anti-terror law UAPA in January this year.
He had coordinated with accused Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Sachin Bhiwani, Anmol Bishnoi, Sachin Thapan, Monu Dagar, Pawan Bishnoi and the shooters and prepared the plan to kill Moosewala, according to the charge sheet.
Bishnoi, who was allegedly operating his gang from Tihar jail, was arrested by Punjab police in the murder case.&nbsp;

The Centre has declared Goldy Brar as a terrorist under UAPA, saying he has been involved in multiple killings, smuggling of high-grade arms, ammunitions and explosive materials through drones from across the border.

The Indian government on January 1st declared Satwinder Singh alias Goldy Brar as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. In a notification, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that Brar, who is currently residing in Canada's Brampton, is associated with Babbar Khalsa International, which is a listed terrorist organisation. The ministry said that Brar was involved in multiple killings and professes radical ideology, smuggling of high-grade arms, ammunitions and explosive materials through drones from across the border. It added that Brar and his associates have been conspiring to disrupt peace, communal harmony and law and order in Punjab.
