In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife with a scarf and then died by suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad area.
The deceased even took a selfie with the corpse without ending his life, India Today reported.&nbsp;
According to the report, the man killed his wife by strangling her with a scarf, took a selfie with her on his lap and then forwarded the same to his relatives before hanging himself.&nbsp;

The cops believe one such argument led to the crime.
The crime was discovered by the man's younger brother who arrived at their place after receiving the photo.&nbsp;
Upon arriving he found his brother hanging from a noose and his wife's body on the bed.&nbsp;

GMC mayor Sunita Dayal said that the names have been suggested keeping in mind the demands of the people of Ghaziabad and Hindu outfits.

The municipal corporation on Tuesday passed a proposal for renaming Ghaziabad, officials said.
Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) mayor Sunita Dayal said the three names -- Harnandi Nagar, Gaj Prastha and Doodheshwernath Nagar -- will sent to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath who will take a final call.
However, any such change of name will ultimately require the Centre's nod.
"A proposal for changing the name of Ghaziabad was passed by an absolute majority of the councillors. The new name will be decided by the CM," Dayal said.
The names have been suggested keeping in mind the demands of the people of Ghaziabad and Hindu outfits, the mayor said.
BJP MLA from Sahibabad constituency Sunil Sharma said last year he had tabled a proposal in this regard in the state Assembly, suggesting that Ghaziabad be renamed as Gaj Prastha.
Meanwhile, head priest of Doodheshwer Nath temple Mahant Narayan Giri told PTI that he had suggested the three names to the chief minister last year.
These names are related to the Mahabharata as present-day Ghaziabad was a part of Hastinapur, according to Giri.
This area used to be a dense forest inhabited by elephants, which are called 'Gaj' in Hindi. Therefore, Ghaziabad was called Gaj Prastha, Giri claimed.
A close aide of Mughal emperor Akbar, Ghaziuddin, had changed the name to Ghaziabad, he claimed.

Police in Ghaziabad said that duo killed their sister as she was having an affair with a man who belonged to a different community.&nbsp;

An 18-year-old girl was allegedly strangled to death by her brothers who threw her body in Ganga canal here, police said on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rural) Vivek Chandra Yadav said, &ldquo;We arrested two men -- Sufiyan and his cousin Mahtab -- from near the Ganga canal in Muradnagar police station area on Saturday.&rdquo; The duo confessed to killing their sister Sheeba and throwing her body into the canal, he said.
According to police, the duo were angry over Sheeba's alleged relationship with a man belonging to a different community.
"Teams of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been pressed into action to locate the body in the canal," the officer said.
Police have lodged a case regarding the matter and initiated an investigation. Sufiyan is a native of Haridwar and his cousin is from Muzaffarnagar.
They were currently living in Shahdara.

A lawyer was shot dead in his chambers on the tehsil court complex in Ghaziabad, police said on Wednesday.
Manoj Chowdhary alias Monu Jaat was having lunch in his chambers around 2 pm when two assailants entered the room and fired at him. He died on the spot, they said.
Shortly after the shooting, a police team arrived at the spot with forensic experts. After completing the legal formalities, Chowdhary's body was sent for post-mortem, they added.
Police teams are obtaining CCTV footage from cameras installed on the court premises, Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Nipun Agarwal said. At the time of the attack, other lawyers were holding a meeting to chalk out their strategy about a strike, called by bar associations in western Uttar Pradesh in support of their colleagues in Hapur, the police said.&nbsp;

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Ghaziabad), Ramanand Kushwaha said the accident took place around 6 am on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident. In a tweet in Hindi, his office said, "#UPCM @myogiadityanath has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the road accident in district Ghaziabad." The chief minister has instructed officials of the district administration to immediately take the injured to a hospital and provide them with proper treatment. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured, the tweet said.
Kushwaha said the bus had gone to Delhi and was plying on the wrong side of the expressway after refilling CNG near the Ghazipur border.
The family was travelling in the SUV, which was headed for Gurugram from Meerut, he said.
Two people are undergoing treatment for severe injuries, the official said, adding that there were eight people in the car.
"The bus driver (identified as Prem Pal) has been arrested. He was at complete fault as he was moving on the wrong side," Kushwaha said.
The deceased have been identified as Narendra (45), his wife Anita (40), sons Deepanshu (15) and Himanshu (12), niece Vanshika (7) and sister-in-law Babita (35).
Narendra's brother Dharmendra (40) and his son Kartik (5) sustained severe injuries and are undergoing treatment at a private hospital, police said.
The bus was attached to the Bal Bharti School of Noida, Additional DCP Kushwah said, adding there were no students in it at the time of the accident.
DCP (Rural) Shubham Patel told PTI that the damaged vehicles have been cleared and the blood-stained portion of the expressway cleaned.&nbsp;

"The body was sent for a post-mortem examination, the report of which is still awaited. We have lodged an FIR of murder and detained eight accused. The matter is being investigated," he said.

Saniya informed police that her sister's body had been concealed on the rooftop by the accused, following which a team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Wave City, Ravi Prakash Singh found it, officials said.
