&lsquo;Swades&rsquo; actor Gayatri Joshi and her husband Vikas Oberoi made headlines on October 4 after reports of them miraculously escaping a tragic car accident surfaced online. &nbsp;
Now, according to a Daily Mail report, Vikas will be probed for road homicide in Italy in connection with a Ferrari-Lamborghini crash that killed two Swiss nationals. He may face up to 7 years in jail.
Vikas Oberoi was allegedly driving a Lamborghini as part of an Italian supercar tour last week and his wife Gayatri was in the passenger seat when the accident happened.&nbsp;
According to reports, the two luxury vehicles were attempting to overtake the huge campervan ahead of them. In the process, they collided and a major accident took place. The van overturned on the road and the Ferrari caught fire.
Video of the shocking car crash is going viral on the internet.&nbsp;
Gayatri confirmed to Free Press Journal that she and her husband were doing &lsquo;absolutely fine&rsquo; after the tragic accident.&nbsp;
The portal reported Gayatri as saying, &lsquo;Vikas and I are in Italy. We met with an accident here.. With gods grace, we both are absolutely fine.&rsquo;
Gayatri&rsquo;s work front
In 2000, Gayatri Joshi won the Femina Miss India International. She made her acting debut with 2004 film &lsquo;Swades&rsquo;. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan as Geeta in the critically-acclaimed Ashutosh Gowariker film.&nbsp;

&lsquo;Swades&rsquo; actor Gayatri Joshi and her husband, businessman Vikas Oberoi recently met with an accident in Italy. It was reportedly a multiple-car collision in Sardinia and a Swiss couple travelling in a Ferrari died when the high-end vehicle caught fire.
Gayatri confirmed the news to Free Press Journal and said that she and her husband were doing &lsquo;absolutely fine&rsquo;.

How the collision took place
According to Free Press Journal, the collision took place when a Lamborghini and the couple's Ferrari tried to overtake a camper van at the same time. The Ferrari caught fire and overturned the van. The incident is said to have taken place during the Sardinia Supercar Tour as part of which luxury cars parade from Teulada to Olbia.
