Alia is currently in Berlin for the premiere of Gangubai Kathiwadi at the Berlin International Film Festival. It is one of the world's largest film festivals, held annually in Berlin in February. The 28-year-old actor donned a pristine white look to take over the capital city and promote Gangubai.
Alia Bhatt took over Berlin in a white off-shoulder gown that she donned for promoting Gangubai Kathiwadi before the film's premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her ensemble is from Dolce & Gabbana.
Alia shared photos where she is dressed in a white gown, and captioned her Instagram post, “Berlin, baby!” Ananya Panday commented with hearts, and Anushka Sharma commented, “Stunner.”  She posted a photo of the red carpet scenes on her Instagram story and wrote, “Meet me at the Berlinale Red Carpet with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 8pm on February 16.”

Alia Bhatt is back with a bang. The trailer of her highly-anticipated film  ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ released on Friday to a thunderous welcome.The actor is playing the role of a brothel madam-turned-matriarch in her upcoming film.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Alia’s titular character in the film is forced into sex trade at an early age, who eventually rises above her circumstances and shines as a matriarch of Kamathipura, with the name of Gangubai Kathiawadi.  
Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer also shows Shantanu Maheshwari as Alia's suitor Ramnik Lal, Ajay Devgn as Karim Lala and Huma Qureshi as Dilruba. Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa and Jim Sarbh also appear in the intriguing trailer.  The period drama has been adapted from one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi's book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, and features Alia in the lead role of Gangubai, one of the most powerful, loved and respected madams from Kamathipura during the 1960s.
