A Delhi court granted custody parole of 6 hours to gangster Sandeep aka Kala Jatheri, a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, to get married.
According to reports, &nbsp;Delhi's Dwarka Court granted him custody parole on March 12 for the ceremony in the national capital, and again on March 13 for the &lsquo;Grih Pravesh&rsquo; which will be held in Sonipat, Haryana.
Gangster Kala Jatheri reportedly fell for 'Lady Don' Anuradha aka Madam Minj because of her fluent English and way of using the gun.&nbsp;
Anuradha, who was also lodged in jail, has reportedly left the life of crime after she was released. She now lives with Kala Jatheri's parents and is studying law to help him with his legal battles.&nbsp;
Kala Jatheri requested custody parole on humanitarian grounds to attend his wedding ceremony, which has been arranged by his family members.&nbsp;
Applications filed by advocate Rohit Dalal argued that the right to marriage has been recognised as a constitutional right under Article 21. It was stated that both the applicant or accused and his fiancee are of legal age as stipulated by the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. It was further submitted that the denial of marriage to the applicant/accused would cause prejudice and violate Article 21 of the Constitution of India.
Jatheri carried a reward of ₹7 lakh when arrested in 2021.&nbsp; The Delhi Police's special cell nabbed him in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, approximately 200 kilometres away from the national capital.
According to the police, Sandeep was wanted in numerous cases of extortion, murder, and other serious offences across Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana.&nbsp;

Gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari's alleged aide Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva was shot dead on Lucknow court premises on Wednesday, police said.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailant was dressed like a lawyer.
"Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva, who was held in Lucknow jail, was brought to the court for hearing in a case and was shot dead by an unknown assailant," said Lucknow Police Commissioner S B Shiradkar who reached the court premises shortly after the incident.
Jeeva was an accused in the murder of a BJP leader.

As per cops, multiple bullets were pumped into Singh by armed men who open fired at him the moment he was spotted. A CCTV footage capturing the killing has also emerged.&nbsp;
Singh was moved to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.&nbsp;

&nbsp;The Centre has prepared a list of 28 most wanted gangsters operating from 14 foreign countries, with nine of them hiding in Canada and five in the United States, sources said on Monday.
Cases of murder, extortion and kidnapping have been slapped against these gangsters, including Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, suspected of being the mastermind behind the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala last year.
Another wanted gangster, Anmol Bishnoi alias Bhanu, is believed to have taken shelter in the US. He is accused of carrying out terror attacks and targeted killings of prominent personalities from the film and business worlds, the sources said.
The nine accused staying in Canada are -- Sukhdool Singh alias Sukha Duneke, Gurpinder Singh alias Baba Dalla, Satveer Singh Warring alias Sam, Snover Dhillon, Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, Charanjeet Singh alias Rinku Bihla, Ramandeep Singh alias Raman Judge and Gagandeep Singh alias Gagna Hathur.

According to the list, Harwinder Singh alias Rinda is in Pakistan, Rajesh Kumar alias Sonu Khatri is in Brazil, Sandeep Grewal alias Billa is in Indonesia, Manpreet Singh alias Peeta is in the Philippines, Supreet Singh alias Harry Chatha is in Germany, Gurjant Singh alias Janta is in Australia and Ramanjit Singh alias Romi is in Hong Kong.

Two gangsters lodged in Goindwal Sahib Central Jail in Punjab's Tarn Taran district were killed in a fight among inmates on Sunday, police said.
Both were connected with singer Sidhu Moosewala's killing last year, they said.
They were facing other cases as well, Senior Superintendent of Police Gurmeet Singh Chauhan said.

Gangster Ejaz Lakdawala brought a plastic bottle filled with dead mosquitoes to a court to highlight the menace of these flying insects faced in a jail where he is lodged and sought a net, but his plea was rejected.
Lakdawala's application was turned down by the sessions court on Thursday.
Lakdawala, a former associate of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim, is facing multiple criminal cases, including those under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. He was arrested in January 2020 and has been lodged at the Taloja prison in neighbouring Navi Mumbai since then.
He had recently filed an application in court seeking permission to use a mosquito net. Lakdwala, in his application, said that in 2020 when he was remanded in judicial custody, he was permitted to use one but in May this year, the prison authorities seized the net citing security concerns.
On Thursday, when Lakdawala was produced before the sessions court, he showed a plastic bottle filled with dead mosquitoes and said the inmates of Taloja jail have to face this problem everyday. But the jail authorities opposed the plea citing security reasons.
The court while rejecting the application said the accused applicant (Lakdawala) could use Odomos and other mosquito repellents.
Apart from Lakdawala, several undertrials from the Taloja prison have also filed similar applications.
In some applications, the request was allowed, but in others they were rejected.
Gangster D K Rao was permitted by the court to use mosquito net by one judge, but another judge did not permit the same to a few accused in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case and a direction was given to the prison authorities to take all necessary precautions to curb the mosquito menace.
In September this year, activist Gautam Navlakha had also filed an application seeking permission to use a net, which is still pending.

Three P-86 hand-grenades, one Improvised Explosive Device or IED, and two 9mm pistols along with 40 live cartridges were seized from the accused. The alleged terrorists have been accused of planning a strike before Independence Day to disturb peace and harmony in the country.
The operation to bust the module was carried out jointly by the Punjab Police and the Delhi Police.

Alleged associates of Rinda had been held in May 2022 in a weapon smuggling case.

Then in March 2021, police said that a Tihar inmate called up an associate from inside the jail to smuggle mercury inside to poison 2 inmates. In March 2022, an associate of gangster Tillu Tajpuriya was killed as part of plot hatched in Tihar by slain gangster Jitender Gogi's aides, as per police.
To avoid detection, criminals keep changing their method of communication, like using voice and video call features of social media platforms, to sending voice recordings.
But how do jail inmates get access to phones? The mobile devices can be handed to inmates by acquaintances during jail meetings or court hearings. In some cases at Tihar, mobile phones were wrapped in cloth or socks and thrown over the boundary wall of the jail. The other way is to either bribe or coerce jail staff.
The hiding places are quite unique, and disturbing. In August 2019, a Tihar prisoner swallowed 4 mobile phones. Doctors made him vomit three out, but the fourth was had to be surgically removed from his rectum.
In August 2021, an NIA team probing the case of a bomb scare outside Mukesh Ambani's house seized two phones at Tihar from the alleged chief of Indian Mujahideen. In January 2022, an inmate swallowed a phone to hide it, and doctors had to fish it out using a snare.
With such instances occurring at regular intervals, most recently in the Moose Wala and Lawrence Bishnoi case, questions have been raised about the situation at high-security prisons like Tihar.
In April 2022, Delhi government reportedly told Supreme Court that mobile signal jammers and X-ray scanners were being installed at Tihar. Earlier, in November 2021, Tihar authorities had said that 3 mobile signal jammers had been installed at the premises.
It remains to be seen how effective such steps are.

He fled to Thailand in 2017-18, using a forged passport. However, he was deported and arrested by Delhi Police in March 2022. A native of Karnal in Haryana, Kala Rana was allegedly involved in crimes in Rajasthan, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi.
The leader of this gang is Lawrence Bishnoi, who is lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Bishnoi hails from Ferozepur, and served as president of the Students' Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU), as per reports. He is in jail under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

The grenade is believed to have been fired by two police from a car. The attackers then fled towards Haryana. The attack shattered windows of rooms on the floor, but no casualties were suffered.

Responding on behalf of the government, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla said, "The period of 25 years, which is mentioned in the assurance, will be abided by the Union of India at an appropriate time subject to the remedies which may be available." The government also said that it was not the appropriate time for it to take a call on the issue, and the Supreme Court could take a decision, instead.
Reacting sharply to the government's response, the Supreme Court said, "Don't lecture the judiciary." The 2-judge SC bench said that it does not take it kindly when the court is asked to decide something which the government should decide. The judges said that the Home Secretary is "nobody" to tell the court to decide the issue.
Abu Salem was convicted in 2017 for transporting weapons from Gujarat to Maharashtra ahead of the serial blasts in Mumbai on March 12, 1993. Over 250 were killed, and over 700 were injured in the terror attack.

The Enforcement Directorate officials on Monday questioned Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's nephew Ali Shah Parkar regarding the gangs active in Mumbai and other areas of the country, India Today has reported.
Ali Shah is the son of Dawood's sister, Haseena Parkar, who died in 2014. On February 18, Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar was arrested by the ED.
Report said that Kaskar was allegedly working for his brother and handling his illegal activities and business in Mumbai and other areas.
Recently it had come to light that Dawood Ibrahim's gang was running terror activities and trying to disrupt law and order in the country, the report further stated.
The ED had last week conducted searches at various locations across Mumbai, including at the residence of Haseena Parkar at Nagpada locality.
