Samsung might switch to microLED on upcoming Galaxy Watches

According to a new report out of South Korea, Samsung is developing MicroLED technology for smartwatches. This change in display technology will replace the current OLED displays in Galaxy Watches.&nbsp;
The new technology offers improved brightness, contrast, and colour reproduction, as well as better visibility in direct sunlight. MicroLEDs are also more power-efficient, potentially extending battery life.&nbsp;
Samsung has reportedly created a new team to work on this project with the goal of commercialising it in the near future. This may allow Samsung to retain Apple as a customer, as there have been reports that Apple plans to use MicroLED technology for its smartwatches.
