In a move aimed at motivating employees and a source of wealth creation,&nbsp;Swiggy has announced an organisation-wide ESOP liquidity program for the stock option holders among its employee base
The Bengaluru-based food delivery platform said all employees holding ESOPs will be eligible to participate in two liquidity events in 2022 and 2023, with the entire exercise worth $35-40 million, pegged to its current valuation of $5.5 billion.
Following this, employees&nbsp;will benefit from any potential value increase at the time of the liquidity in 2022 and 2023 while giving them the certainty of liquidity.
The announcement comes on the back of Swiggy&rsquo;s food delivery business surpassing pre-Covid levels, non-food businesses witnessing robust growth.

Foodtech unicorn&nbsp;Swiggy&nbsp;has elevated long-time employee Phani Kishan Addepalli as its co-founder, company chief executive Harsha Majety told employees in an internal communication to the startup's employees on Monday.&nbsp;
"Over these 6 years, he&rsquo;s probably had the record for setting up multiple high leverage functions from the ground up," Majety said.
Move comes ahead of the billion-dollar fundraiser that the food delivery giant is undergoing.
