As the dawn of the 77th Independence Day approaches, the nation stands poised to commemorate the enduring spirit that shaped its journey towards its freedom on August 15, 1947.
The 'Tiranga' stands for the symbol of the resilience, progress, and unity, that the independence day of India serves. It is the testament to the unwavering dedication of the martyrs who led the nation to the dawn of liberty.&nbsp;
<h3>History of 'Tiranga'</h3>
When contemplating India's flag, the hues of saffron, white, green, and blue naturally come to mind. However, initially in the year 1921, the proposed design were two red and green bands, representing Hindus and Muslims, with a white band denoting peace and other communities, along with a spinning wheel emblem representing progress.
Credited largely to freedom fighter Pingali Venkayya, this design underwent modifications, eventually gaining its current form in 1931 during a Congress Committee meeting in Karachi (now in Pakistan). Saffron replaced red, and the colour sequence shifted.
The flag was intended to be secular, devoid of religious connotations. Consequently, today's version sees saffron symbolizing "strength and courage," white embodying "peace and truth," and green signifying "fertility, growth, and land's auspiciousness." The Ashok Chakra, sporting 24 spokes, replaced the charkha, depicting "life's dynamism and stagnation's end.
<h3>The final flag design</h3>
On July 22, 1947, within the walls of the Constitution Hall in Delhi, the Constituent Assembly of India gathered and formally embraced the national flag for an independent India. The proposal stated that the flag would feature a horizontal tricolor of deep saffron (kesari), white, and dark green in equal measure. The white band was to bear a navy blue wheel, reminiscent of the emblem on the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka.
Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, on August 16, 1947, raised the ultimate rendition of the Indian National Flag at the Red Fort&mdash;a momentous act concluding decades of history leading up to the nation's independence.

The Russian Embassy in London is located near the official residence of the Indian High Commissioner to the UK.

The road outside the Russian Embassy in London was painted yellow and blue in the colours of the Ukrainian flag on Thursday morning, in a show of solidarity with Ukraine in the ongoing conflict.
Led By Donkeys, an art activism group, shared their painting expedition in the Kensington Palace Gardens area of central London on social media before four arrests were made by Scotland Yard on suspicion of criminal damage and road obstruction.
It comes a year on from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began on February 24 last year.
"Tomorrow is the first anniversary of (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's imperialist invasion of Ukraine, an independent state and a people with every right to self-determination. The existence of a massive Ukrainian flag outside his embassy in London will serve to remind him of that," Led By Donkeys said on Twitter with images of their paint action.

The group, which began in 2018 as an anti-Brexit group, said it had poured 170 litres of yellow paint on the eastbound carriageway and a similar amount of blue paint on the westbound side, with passing traffic then spreading the colours along the road.
"At 08:45 (local time) today officers attended Kensington Palace Gardens, where paint had been thrown on the highway. Four people, three males and one female, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and obstructing the highway. They remain in custody," the Metropolitan Police said in a statement on Thursday.

As preparations are underway to bid a final adieu to Britain's longest serving monarch Queen Elizabeth II, far away in a Chinese town, a shop is churning out thousands of British flags. 
Employees of Shangahi-based Shaoxing Chuangdong Tour Articles Co. are working 14-hours a day to make British-themed flags. These flags will be carried by mourners or hung outside homes.While other flags show portrait Elizabeth's portrait and the years of her birth and death.
Factory manager Fan Aiping said, "There is a story behind each flag. This time it's about the queen in the United Kingdom. They are buying these flags to mourn the queen deeply."
The factory was flooded with orders within hours of Queen Elizabeth II's death. Located in South of Shanghai,  the factory reportedly completed 500,000 orders in the first week with employee strengthe of over 100.
This was followed by dispatch of about 20,000 orders recently. Given the rush, the flags aren't even packaged, they are being uut up in a box and shipped away.The factory had been making flags for the football World Cup before Elizabeth's death.

In a move signifying a break from India's colonial past, the Indian Navy is set to get a new ensign, or military flag.
The new ensign will be revealed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2 September 2022. On the same day, India's first indigenously-built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant will be commissioned into the Navy.
The Indian Navy's current ensign consists of a white flag with horizontal and vertical red stripes, with the Emblem of India emblazoned at the intersection of the two stripes. The tricolour is placed in the canton.
The horizontal and vertical red stripes stand for the Cross of Saint George, and thus, are a sign of British rule. In colonial times, the naval force was called the Royal Indian Navy. On 26 January 1950, it was rechristened to Indian Navy.

The teachers were from Middle School Batwari and Primary School Khandole 
According to the reports, a three-member committee has been set up to inquire into the matter and submit the report within 15 days.
The J&K administration  had passed orders to hoist the Indian tricolour on all buildings and schools across the union territory on August 15 as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence from the colonial rule.

Homosexuality is legal in Indonesia except in the sharia-ruled province of Aceh. However, growing influence of Islamic conservatives in the world's largest Muslim-majority country is reinforcing the social taboo surrounding homosexuality.
