The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has shared some behind the scenes for the 17th India Couture Week to be held from 24th July to 31st July. The council has shared some designs by renowned designers including Falguni and Shane Peacock, Tarun Tahiliani and Suneet Varma. &nbsp;
The couture will showcase the creative processes behind the designer collections.&nbsp;
FDCI has collaborated with Hyundai for the second consecutive year to bring the 17th edition of India Couture Week which will feature 14 of India&rsquo;s top designers like Abu Jani, Sandeep Khosla, Dolly J, Amit Aggarwal, Jayanti Reddy and others. The couture week will be held at Taj Palace New Delhi. &nbsp; &nbsp; This year&rsquo;s Hyundai India Couture Week is presented by FDCI in association with Reliance Brand Ltd. On 12th July the Hyundai Closing Show was also unveiled for the Couture week and a Hyundai Ioniq 5 designed by Falguni Shane Peacock.&nbsp;

The much-awaited Lakme Fashion Week kicked off on March 9th and top designers of the country including Manish Malhotra, Anushree Reddy, Itrh and Tarun Tahiliani among others showcased their latest collections with Bollywood actors and influencers as showstoppers.
Celebrity showstoppers this year included Sushmita Sen, Zeenat Aman, Shilpa Shetty, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sonakshi Sinha, Karisma Kapoor, Ananya Pandey, Shanaya Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Sara Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanya Malhotra and Athiya Shetty among others.

Actor Ananya Panday stunned on the runway at the first phygital edition of the joint FDCI x LFW fashion week, as she closed the show. The actor walked the ramp for designer Ruchika Sachdeva's brand called Bodice. Ananya wore a full sleeve crop top along with a high-waisted colour block pleated skirt. Her look was completed with a pair of suede block heels and statement earrings. The 5-day event came to an end on the 21st of March.

FDCI's India Couture Week 2020 is all set to go digital

Get set! Fashion Design Council of India is hosting its first ever digital India Couture Week from the 18th to the 23rd of September.

For the first time ever, Fashion Design Council of India is hosting a digital India Couture Week from the 18th to the 23rd of September.
Taking to Instagram, FDCI wrote, the digital transformation will enable designers to showcase their collections in many interesting ways.
The event will be live-streamed across the apex body's official website and social media handles. 12 renowned designers including Amit Aggarwal and Anju Modi will come together for the couture week, the theme for which is 'Decoding Couture: Skilled crafts intermingle with the complexities of style to create grandeur'.
A detailed schedule of the event was also released in a video post.
