Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the cast and creators of Israeli series Fauda in Jerusalem during his visit and shared a selfie with the team on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met the cast and crew of hit Israeli espionage show "Fauda" in Jerusalem and shared a selfie on social media.
Modi, who arrived in Israel on Wednesday on a two-day visit to the country, shared the photo with the "Fauda" team on X.&nbsp;
"Thankfully, this interaction required only a selfie, no undercover work! #Fauda" the prime minister wrote.

The photo featured PM Modi along with "Fauda" creators Lior Raz, Avi Issacharoff, actors Laetitia Eido, Doron Ben-David and others.
"Fauda" is an action thriller series and follows Doron Kavillio, played by Raz, an undercover Israeli operative who pursues high-value targets in the West Bank and Gaza. The show started in 2015, debuting on Israeli network Yes Oh and became a global phenomenon after it began streaming on Netflix.
It is PM Modi's second visit to Israel in nine years. The India-Israel relationship was elevated to the level of strategic partnership during his first visit to that country in July 2017.

Israeli actor Tsahi Halevi, best known for his role in the web series &lsquo;Fauda&rsquo;, is a huge fan of Hindi cinema. In a recent video captured by ANI, the actor can be seen singing the song &lsquo;Tujhe Dekha Toh Ye Jaana Sanam&rsquo; from Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer &lsquo;Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge&rsquo;.
He crooned a few lines from the song perfectly without any pause, winning the hearts of netizens.
Halevi first visited India in 2022 and met with many celebrities from Indian cinema including Anupam Kher, Imtiaz Ali and Vivek Agnihotri.
He showcased his singing talent during his maiden trip to India. At an event in Delhi, he sang the popular song &lsquo;Yaara Teri Yaari&rsquo; as well as the song &lsquo;Tamally Ma&rsquo;ak&rsquo;.
The Israeli actor from the popular show 'Fauda' sang the song to cheers from the crowd at an event hosted by the Embassy of Israel in India. The event also marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Israel.
<h3>His Bollywood debut</h3>
Halevi made his Bollywood debut alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha in &lsquo;Akeli&rsquo;, which was directed by Pranay Meshram.
Speaking about the opportunity, Halevi said, &lsquo;It is a great opportunity to be a part of such a colourful world of Indian cinema! I&rsquo;m super excited and was amazed with the script when I first heard it! It was truly nice working with the entire cast and crew in Akeli and I&rsquo;m sure it is going to be an impactful and unforgettable movie.&rsquo;
Tsahi Halevi&rsquo;s &lsquo;Fauda&rsquo; co-star Amir Boutrous from Israel also appeared in &lsquo;Akeli&rsquo;.

'Fauda', a Netflix series depicting the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, has been successful in India. Tsahi Halevi commented, &lsquo;I think Fauda is a hit in India. We get a lot of social media feedback from India... It is a great opportunity to understand Indian television and cinema.&rsquo;
According to Deadline, 'Fauda' is produced by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, with Trotem Shamir directing. The show's writers include Noah Stollman, Michal Aviram, Yuval Yefet, Maayan Oz, and Sari Azoulay Turgeman.
