Recently, Neha recreated Falguni's hit song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’, after which the latter expressed her disappointment and shared fans' posts on Instagram, which slammed Neha for ‘ruining’ the original song.
Now, in a new interview with Mirchi Plus, Falguni said she is fine if her songs get recreated, but mentioned that they should be done well and not spoilt. 
‘Adapt karo lekin acchi tarike se karo. Remixes ban rahe hai aajkal aur acche bhi ban rahe hai jo humlog bhi stage pe gaate hai. Lekin usko acchi tarah se use karo na. Tum usko faltu kyu bana dete ho (Adapt but do it well. There are so many remixes being made well and even we sing it on stage. But do it well. Why do you spoil it)?,’ she said.
The veteran singer was asked if she had watched Neha's new version ‘O Sajna’, to which she responded that she did not, but added that it will be the 'first thing' she will do. 
Talking about her song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’, Falguni said, ‘I think the song came out in 2000 and till date, it is really fresh. Even when I perform the song now, people give us the same reaction and love that they had on the first day. Usko recreate karo, usme alag rhythm do, make it modern lekin achi tarike se karo na. Uski jo beauty hai, jo simplicity hai usko mat touch karo (Do recreate it, give it a different rhythm, make it modern but do it well. Don't touch the beauty and simplicity of the song).’
In an earlier interview with Delhi Times, Falguni said that she was ‘almost about to puke’ when she first heard the remake.
'I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. First reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha,' she said.

A few days ago, Falguni shared screenshots of fans slamming Neha’s version of the track on Instagram. Neha, too, responded to all the hatred that she received on social media. 
Now, in an unexpected twist, the singers will be seen together on the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 13’. A promo shared by Sony TV shows Neha welcoming ‘legendary Falguni ma’am’ to the show and dancing along with co-jury panel member Himesh Reshammiya, and host Aditya Narayan. 
However, it is reported that this episode was shot prior to the ongoing war of words. 
According to Hindustan Times, a source close to the show revealed that the episode was shot during the auditions round in August. 
‘The timing is all coincidental. They shot the chunk for Navratri. In fact, at that time, Neha and Falguni were quite cordial. Currently, Neha doesn’t even wish to talk about Falguni and was quite clear that she won’t promote the particular episode or talk about what it was like to have Falguni on the sets,’ the source close was quoted as saying. 
Falguni’s team also told Hindustan Times that the shoot took place on August 20.
Singer Sona Mohapatra took to Twitter on Monday and countered claims of social media users who called ongoing feud of Falguni and Neha a ‘publicity stunt.’ 
‘& why are people so silly that they’re buying into the PR release of a reality show trying to ride the #FalguniPathak news cycle & discredit her reaction as a publicity stunt? Don’t they know that such shows record episodes much in advance & she must not have a clue then?’, Sona tweeted. 
Dhanashree Verma and Priyank Sharma, who feature in the music video of Neha Kakkar’s ‘O Sajna’, have defended the song. 
Talking to Mid-Day, Dhanashree said that she finds Neha's version even better than the original. 
Dhanashree Verma told Mid-day, ‘We all love this song. We have grown up listening to this song. We still listen to this song every year. When we found out it is being recreated we both got very excited because we know the song is loved by everyone and it will be loved even further if you recreate it. The way our composers Tanishk (Bagchi) Neha, and Jaani, all these guys together, they just made it even better. They have amply justified what they had to.’
Priyank Sharma added, ‘The first time I heard this song, it took me exactly 45-50 seconds to say yes. It's an iconic song already and the way they have made it again is commendable. They justified the iconicness of the previous one for real. I was very excited.’

Defending Falguni, he said, ‘Whenever there is a remix, it should not touch the melody of the original song. Legally you are protected because nobody can file a case. At least, don’t spoil the melody of the song.’
The singer also praised Neha Kakkar and her work and said that she does not need remixes to get shortcut fame. 
‘She has already earned the fame. She might have done it to pursue a wish,’ Anup Jalota told India Today. 
Earlier, Falguni Pathak expressed her disappointment over the remix by reposting fans’ angry reactions on her Instagram handle. In a recent interview, she also mentioned that the original song's innocence has been ruined and she was ‘almost about to puke’ when she first heard the remake.
Meanwhile, Neha Kakkar too addressed the backlash through social media posts and wrote, ‘If talking in such a manner, saying such bad things about me, abusing me.. makes them feel good and if they think it will ruin my day. Then I’m sorry to inform them that I’m too blessed to have bad days. This God’s child is always happy coz God himself is keeping me happy.’

In a recent interview with India Today, veteran singer Anup Jalota talked about how remixes affect the melody of the original song and the original singer.
Defending <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/falguni-pathak-reacts-to-neha-kakkar-s-o-sajna-again-i-almost-puked-when-i-heard-the-song-1664092986390">Falguni</a>, he said, &lsquo;Whenever there is a remix, it should not touch the melody of the original song. Legally you are protected because nobody can file a case. At least, don&rsquo;t spoil the melody of the song.&rsquo;
The singer also praised Neha Kakkar and her work and said that she does not need remixes to get shortcut fame.&nbsp;
&lsquo;She has already earned the fame. She might have done it to pursue a wish,&rsquo; Anup Jalota told India Today.&nbsp;
Earlier, Falguni Pathak expressed her disappointment over the remix by reposting fans&rsquo; angry reactions on her Instagram handle. In a recent interview, she also mentioned that the original song's innocence has been ruined and she was &lsquo;almost about to puke&rsquo; when she first heard the remake.
Meanwhile, Neha Kakkar too addressed the backlash through social media posts and wrote, &lsquo;If talking in such a manner, saying such bad things about me, abusing me.. makes them feel good and if they think it will ruin my day. Then I&rsquo;m sorry to inform them that I&rsquo;m too blessed to have bad days. This God&rsquo;s child is always happy coz God himself is keeping me happy.&rsquo;

Speaking with Delhi Times, Falguni Pathak said, 'I got to know about the remixed version three-four days back. First reaction was not good. I was like, mujhe bas ulti aani baaki thi, aisa ho gaya tha.'
She added, 'Video aur picturisation mein jo innocence thi, uska pura satyanash kiya hai iss gaane mein (The video and picturisation had such innocence but they have ruined it). Remixes are happening but do it in a decent way. If you want to reach out to the younger generation, change the rhythm of the song, but don&rsquo;t make it cheap. Don&rsquo;t change the originality of the song. I don&rsquo;t think I need to do anything; my fans are taking action against the song. I am just sharing the stories. Why should I keep quiet when they are supporting me, main kaise chup baithun.'
In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, Falguni had said that she would have taken legal action against Neha but she can't do that as the song's rights are not with her.
Meanwhile, Neha Kakkar also shared a series of posts on Instagram addressing the criticism. She said she felt &lsquo;sorry' for people unhappy with her happiness and that she was &lsquo;too blessed to have bad days&rsquo;.
