Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch its Exynos 2100 chipset on January 12, ahead of the launch for its upcoming Galaxy S21 series of smartphones. Reports say Samsung's new processor has clocked benchmarks comparable to the best from Qualcomm, in both single and multi-thread workloads. Samsung is set to livestream the event on its official YouTube channel on January 12.

Samsung Galaxy S21+ may come with Exynos 2100 chipset

Samsung&rsquo;s next-generation Galaxy S21&nbsp; flagship series, is expected to launch in February 2021. The Galaxy S21+, which may slot between the S21 and the Ultra model, is expected to come with a new Exynos 2100 chipset, a Geekbench listing showed.
However, the new processor has significantly lower scores against the rumored scores of the Exynos 1000 and Snapdragon 875. The Galaxy S21+ is also expected to pack 8GB of RAM and a 4,800 mAh battery.
