A court in Delhi on Saturday reserved for June 5 its order on an application moved by Delhi Chief Minster and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal seeking interim bail in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja reserved the order, observing that the application was for grant of interim bail on medical grounds and not for the extension of the interim bail granted by the Supreme Court.

Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju, appearing for probe agencies, on Monday told the Supreme Court that they are contemplating making the Aam Aadmi Party an accused in the alleged liquor policy irregularities cases.
ASG Raju's submission came while probe agencies-- Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)-- were opposing the bail plea of AAP leader Manish Sisodia in the case.
ASG Raju apprised these to the bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti, who are hearing Manish Sisodia's bail plea.
He said that he has instructions that the agencies are considering making AAP an accused, and they may invoke legal provisions and section 70 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The SC has sought to know from the CBI and ED whether they be separate offences for CBI and ED and asked the lawyer to give further updates on Tuesday and posted the matter for tomorrow for further hearing.
During the hearing, the court remarked that the argument on the issue of framing of charges has not started yet.
The court remarked that they cannot keep Sisodia behind bars for an infinite period and also chargesheet in the matter has been filed.

The federal agency also said it had found fresh evidence of his complicity in the alleged crime.

A Delhi court on Friday dismissed the bail application of AAP leader Manish Sisodia in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam.
Special Judge M K Nagpal denied the relief to Sisodia, saying the stage was not fit to grant him bail.
The judge had reserved the order after hearing arguments on Sisodia's plea seeking relief claiming that his custody was no longer required for investigation.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had opposed the application, asserting the investigation was at a "crucial" stage and claiming the senior AAP leader had planted fabricated e-mails to show there was public approval for the policy.
The federal agency also said it had found fresh evidence of his complicity in the alleged crime.

Manish Sisodia sent to 14-day judicial custody in Excise policy case

On Tuesday, the special court deferred the hearing to March 25 on the bail plea of Sisodia in the main case being probed by the CBI.

A Delhi court on Wednesday sent former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to 14-day judicial custody in a money laundering case arising out of the excise policy matter.
Special Judge M K Nagpal sent the senior AAP leader to jail till April 5 after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) produced him on conclusion of his custodial interrogation in the matter.
The anti-money laundering probe agency has so far quizzed Sisodia for seven days in its custody in the matter.
On Tuesday, the special court deferred the hearing to March 25 on the bail plea of Sisodia in the main case being probed by the CBI.
The CBI on February 26 arrested Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

The ED arrested Sisodia on March 9 in Tihar jail, where he was lodged in connection with the case being probed by the CBI.

&nbsp;Veteran BJP leader and former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Shanta Kumar on Wednesday lauded AAP leader Manish Sisodia for his "clean image" but suggested that he might be &ldquo;collecting money&rdquo; for his party to fight elections.
Sisodia was arrested Sunday over alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
In remarks that could embarrass his own party, Shanta Kumar said the AAP formed its government in the national capital &ldquo;right under the nose of the BJP government at the Centre&rdquo;, after badly defeating the ruling party.
He said the AAP government worked for five years and then came back to power, calling it a &ldquo;big achievement.&rdquo; Sisodia became well known as a deputy chief minister with a clean image who did "commendable work", and is now in jail, the BJP leader said, according to a statement posted on Facebook.
Shanta Kumar said there have been charges and counter charges from both sides. It is also difficult to imagine that Sisodia may have been put in jail by the CBI without having committed any crime, he added.
He said the AAP leader is being accused of framing a liquor policy that brought profits to traders.

&ldquo;In my opinion this is the truth, and if this is the truth, the country very seriously needs to take some new decisions,&rdquo; he said in Hindi.
He argued that political parties take money from big business people, who make up for the amount through corruption with the help of the government that come to power.
After elections, the winning candidates file false expenditure accounts with the Election Commission, he charged. &ldquo;How can everything be well in a country where democracy begins with black money and lies,&rdquo; he said.

The Delhi BJP on Wednesday held protests at various parts in the city demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the now-scrapped excise policy of the AAP government. The saffron party had on Tuesday termed the resignation of Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain from the Delhi Cabinet amid corruption allegations a "victory of truth and that of the party workers" while claiming that the chief minister will have to resign too.
Hours before the news of resignation by the two ministers hit the headlines, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had said it would raise awareness on the "conspiracy" that was hatched to "toy" with the future of youths in Delhi by allowing "proliferation" of liquor vends.
On Wednesday, BJP members held protests near the ITO roundabout and demanded that the Delhi chief minister should resign.
Delhi BJP's working president Virendra Sachdeva asked if according to Kejriwal, his ministers were "innocent", why the Supreme Court did not give them any relief and their resignations were accepted. In the last eight years, several ministers in the AAP government have resigned, most of them on "corruption charges". Kejriwal should resign on moral grounds, he claimed.

The CBI has summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy scam case on April 16, officials said on Friday. &nbsp;Kejriwal has been asked to be present at the agency headquarters at 11 AM to answer queries of the investigating team, they said. &nbsp;
The central probe agency has already arrested former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the case. &nbsp;It is alleged that the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 to grant licences to liquor traders favoured certain dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it, a charge strongly refuted by the AAP. The policy was later scrapped.
