The survey underscores the necessity of harmonizing workplace strategies with the expectations of Generation Z (GenZ). GenZ employees predominantly prioritize flexible work arrangements (38%), and purpose-driven tasks (23%)

A recent survey by Indeed sheds light on a significant shift in employer confidence regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace. The findings reveal a resounding 59% of employers expressing high levels of certainty in their teams' ability to adapt and effectively utilize AI tools.&nbsp;
Moreover, this confidence in AI integration aligns with employers' strategic priorities. Among these priorities, a predominant focus is on increasing collaboration between human workers and AI systems, as highlighted by 37% of respondents.&nbsp;
Furthermore, the skills sought after by employers align with this trend, with a focus on Generative AI skills (27%) and programming languages (22%). Employers, in turn, are actively seeking individuals skilled in cybersecurity (37%) and data science and analytics (29%) to bolster their technological capacities.
Moreover, the survey emphasizes the need to align workplace strategies with Generation Z (GenZ) expectations. The preferences of GenZ employees largely revolve around flexible work arrangements (38%), purpose-driven work (23%), and technology-driven environments (18%). To attract and retain this demographic, employers are considering offering flexible work arrangements (26%), technology-driven environments (24%), and professional development opportunities (20%).
Diversity and inclusion also take precedence among employers, with 47% planning to adopt robust policies. Strategies encompass open communication channels (40%), diverse leadership representation (20%), and anti-discrimination reporting (17%).
The survey outlines a shift in Indian workplaces, with employers gearing up to prioritize AI integration, workforce upskilling, and ethical AI adoption. This transformative approach aligns with the evolving needs of both the workforce and the GenZ demographic, marking a significant progression in the country's employment landscape.

The ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook survey which had about 3,000 participants has revealed that employers are willing to hire people who have been unemployed due to caretaking responsibilities, have non-linear career paths &amp; have been unemployed for some time

A ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey has revealed that employers are more willing to hire applicants who are are older and seeking employment changes to curb talent shortages.
The survey which had about 3,000 participants also said that employers are also willing to hire people who have been unemployed due to caretaking responsibilities, have non-linear career paths, and have been unemployed for an extended period of time.&nbsp;
"The survey findings are clear indicators of a stable economy despite the geo political and economic uncertainties being faced across the globe. The government&rsquo;s unwavering focus and initiatives to drive growth in key sectors, coupled with the onset of the festival season are expected to act as crucial reinforcements and boost hiring sentiments across the country&rdquo;, said Sandeep Gulati, Managing Director, ManpowerGroup India and Middle East.&nbsp;

As per the survey, employers across all the sectors report a positive hiring intention. While IT industry have the strongest outlook followed by transport, logistics, automotive, healthcare, and life sciences, the least optimistic prospects were seen in the communication services.
The survey noted that the northern region of India dominates the job demand with an outlook of 40% followed by West at 38%.&nbsp;
The survey had also covered the factors that drive workforce productivity. About 44% of employers have identified professional development through training, upskilling, and reskilling as the top drivers of productivity. Meanwhile, 39% feel that it is cultivating a positive work culture that includes performance recognition and 33% of employers think establishing clear goals and objectives for staff are top productivity drivers.
Soft skills were also taken into considerations in the survey. 43% employers ranked communication, collaboration, and teamwork as the most important soft skills that are required while 33% ranked accountability and reliability. 29% of the employers mentioned reasoning and and problem-solving while 23% &nbsp;said active learning and curiosity, resilience, stress tolerance, and adaptability as important factors when it came to hiring talent.
&ldquo;With the changing landscape of the world of work, organisations that are focused on investing in professional development of their workforce and creating a positive work culture are better equipped to accelerate transformation and build resilience to combat the market volatility,&rdquo; Gulati further said.

Hiring intentions will remain marginally lower during the second quarter (April-June) this year as employers continue to have difficulty in finding people with the right skills, according to a survey.
Employers in India continue to anticipate hiring workers in the second quarter, reporting a seasonally adjusted Net Employment Outlook of 30%, which is marginally lower from the January-March quarter, according to ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey.
Hiring intentions remain marginally lower by 2% quarter-on-quarter, while employers continue to have difficulty finding the right talent, it added.
The ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey is based on an analysis of nearly 3,020 employers.
The survey further revealed that the talent supply with the requisite skills depicted in the sliding shift of employers, experiencing a talent shortage by 3%.
The survey stated that employers in the Information Technology sector (81%), consumer goods and services (81%), health care and life sciences (80%), financials and real estate (80%) and energy and utilities (80%) report the greatest difficulty finding the talent they need.
Employers in medium-sized organisations (83%) face the biggest challenge as compared to the large (80%), micro (80%) and small (78%), it noted.
