Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vir Das and Sushmita Sen-led Aarya will come home from the International Emmy Awards empty-handed. 
Siddiqui who was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in ‘Serious Men’ lost the Emmy to Scottish actor David Tennant for Des. Nawazuddin Siddiqui attended the in-person award ceremony in New York. This is his second year at the International Emmys.  There was also no win for the Sushmita Sen-led Aarya, which lost Best Drama to the Israeli production Tehran. 
Vir Das' comedy special ‘Vir Das: For India’ lost Best Comedy to hit French show Call My Agent! He also attended the event in person. He later congratulated the team of Call my agent and also posted a photo of his nomination medal.
Indian shows and actors have been receiving immense International Emmy attention for three years in a row now. However, the only win so far has been for Delhi Crime which won Best Drama last year.

The Handmaid&rsquo;s Tale and Saturday Night Live also earned the next highest amount of nominations with 21 each.
Apple TV+'s 'Ted Lasso' bagged&nbsp;13 nods, including the major ones like Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and so on.
Uzo Aduba, Olivia Colman, Emma Corrin, Elisabeth Moss, Mj Rodriguez, and&nbsp;Jurnee Smollett&nbsp;are up for best actress in the drama category&nbsp;while&nbsp;Sterling K. Brown,&nbsp;Jonathan Majors,&nbsp;Josh O&rsquo;Connor,&nbsp;Reg&eacute;-Jean Page,&nbsp;Billy Porter &amp;&nbsp;Matthew Rhys&nbsp;are the best actor hopefuls this year.
The biggest battle of the night, however, will be between HBO and Netflix. In total, HBO bagged 130 nominations while Netflix managed 129.There are bound to be some surprises in store with the Hollywood A-listers putting their best fashion foot forward for the big night.&nbsp;
The awards will be presented by a star-studded lineup of presenters for the event, including Annaleigh Ashford, LL Cool J, Awkwafina, Misty Copeland, Michael Douglas, Ava DuVernay, Taraji P.
