This trip follows an invitation extended by Trump and comes shortly after he began his second term in the White House.
The visit also takes place amid growing criticism of the Indian government's handling of the deportation of 104 Indian immigrants by the U.S. this week, part of Trump&rsquo;s broader immigration policies.
On January 27, Trump had a conversation with Modi, where they discussed immigration issues and highlighted the need for India to increase its purchases of American-made security equipment, as well as promote equitable trade relations between the two nations.

Bayrou, 73, a crucial partner in Macron&rsquo;s centrist alliance, has been a well-known figure in French politics for decades. His political experience is seen as key in efforts to restore stability as no single party holds a majority at the National Assembly.
Macron&rsquo;s office said in a statement that Bayrou &ldquo;has been charged with forming a new government.&rdquo;
Former Prime Minister Michel Barnier resigned last week following a no-confidence vote prompted by budget disputes in the National Assembly, leaving France without a functioning government.
Macron in an address to the nation vowed to remain in office until his term ends in 2027.
Macron&rsquo;s centrist alliance does not have a majority in parliament and Bayrou&rsquo;s Cabinet will need to rely on moderate lawmakers from the left and the right to be able to stay in power. Some conservatives are expected to be part of the new government.
Macron&rsquo;s strategy aims to prevent far-right leader Marine Le Pen from holding &ldquo;make or break&rdquo; power over the government. Le Pen helped oust Barnier by joining her National Rally party&rsquo;s forces to the left to pass the no-confidence motion last week.
Bayrou&rsquo;s appointment is also in line with Macron&rsquo;s efforts to build a non-aggression pact with the Socialists so that they commit not to vote against the government in any future confidence motion.
Bayrou leads the centrist Democratic Movement, known as MoDem, which he founded in 2007.
In 2017, he supported Macron&rsquo;s first presidential bid and became a weighty partner in the French president&rsquo;s centrist alliance.
At the time, he was appointed justice minister, but he quickly resigned from the government amid an investigation into the MoDem&rsquo;s alleged embezzlement of European Parliament funds.
Bayrou this year was cleared in the case by a Paris court, which found eight other party officials guilty and sentenced the party to pay a fine.
Bayrou became well known to the French public when he was education minister from 1993 to 1997 in a conservative government.

In the 577-seat National Assembly, the leftwing NFP has over 190 seats, followed by Macron's centrist alliance at around 160 and Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally at 140.
Macron has been refusing to name a prime minister from the leftwing coalition that won the most seats in the snap election in July this year.
The NFP has demanded that the president pick their candidate Lucie Castets, a 37-year-old economist with a history of left-wing activism.
But Macron declined, saying that it would be a "threat to institutional stability". Instead, he called on "all political leaders to rise to the occasion by demonstrating a spirit of responsibility".
In response, the NFP called for street protests and Macron's impeachment.
Castets slammed Macron of seeking to be "president, prime minister and party leader all at the same time", adding that this was "not respectful of French voters or of democracy".
Macron has not given any indication about the deadline for naming a prime minister, but the clock is running as the government has to present a draft budget law for 2025 by October 1.

Praising India, he stated that New Delhi is going to be on the front row in the world's transformation.
"We have got everything to say to a country like India, a democratic power, a demographic, economic and a technological as well, which is going to be front row at the world's transformation," President Macron said in the video posted on X. Posting the video with the caption "A look back at an exceptional trip in India", Macron further said, "For us, having chai tea is a habit."
Macron said he felt "extremely honoured" to be a part of the 75th Republic Day celebrations in the national capital.
"We were extremely honoured to be part of such an important and unique day. This is in our memories for ever," he added.
Further boasting the good relationship between the two countries, the French President stated that even if the relations between the two countries are good, the countries can still do much more.
"We developed during the past few years a series of cooperations and partnerships in different sectors with your country. And clearly, we want to make more and more investments. Even if the relationship is very good, we can do much more. Everything's good so far," the video stated.
Additionally, he emphasised that they want to have 30,000 students in France coming from India by 2030.

Borne, who is the second woman to serve as French prime minister, resigned on Monday ahead of a much-anticipated Cabinet reshuffle.

The new pensions bill will raise the retirement age to 64 from 62 which unions see as a broader threat to the French social model. Another change that will be incorporated is that citizens will have to work for 43 years, currently 42, to be able to avail a full pension.&nbsp;
Opinion polls suggest that most French voters are opposed to the bill which is under debate in the French Senate this week.

Following the meeting between the US President and the French President, the leaders came together for a joint press conference and together condemned Russia's illegal war of aggression against Ukraine and stress that "intentionally targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes war crimes whose perpetrators must be held accountable." Both the leaders also condemned and reject Russia's illegal attempted annexation of sovereign Ukrainian territory, in clear violation of international law.
Earlier, in October, Russia announced the annexation of four regions - Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. "The United States and France deplore Russia's deliberate escalatory steps, notably its irresponsible nuclear rhetoric and disinformation regarding alleged chemical attacks, and biological and nuclear weapons programs. They reaffirm their nations' continued support for Ukraine's defence of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, including the provision of political, security, humanitarian, and economic assistance to Ukraine for as long as it takes," the statement reads.
"This includes the provision of significant resources to support Ukrainian civilian resilience through the winter, including stepping up the delivery of air defence systems and equipment needed to repair Ukraine's energy grid," the statement added.
The United States and France plan to continue working with partners and allies to coordinate assistance efforts, including at the international conference taking place in Paris on December 13, 2022. They also intend to continue providing robust direct budget support for Ukraine and to urge international financial institutions to scale up their financial support.
The United States and France reiterate their duty to uphold applicable international obligations and the principles and purposes of the UN Charter. The United States and France remain committed to addressing the wider effects of Russia's war, including working with the international community to build greater resilience to food and energy disruptions, according to the statement.

The pair have a history of fooling high-profile people and are believed to have links to Russia's security services.
"Following the missile explosion in Przewodow, during continuous calls with heads of state and government, there was a call with a person claiming to be French President Emmanuel Macron," Duda's office tweeted.
"Duda realised from the way the conversation was being conducted by the caller that it may have been an attempt at a scam and he got off the phone."
Asked by AFP whether they were behind the call, Russian pranksters "Vovan and Lexus" confirmed, "We've said that on all social media... And we posted a video."
In the November 15 hoax call, a person with a thick Russian accent claims to be Macron. He and Duda discuss the fatal missile blast near the Ukrainian border from earlier in the day.
The explosion is now widely believed to have been caused by a Ukrainian air defence missile, though initial speculation pointed the finger at Russia.
"Oh hello Emmanuel... Thank you for your call. The situation is very difficult as you probably know," Duda said.
He said the explosion was caused by a missile "launched we don't know by whom" and that he was waiting for the results of the investigation.
