No matter where you live, a &lsquo;go bag&rsquo; which is&nbsp;essentially an emergency survival kit, can come in handy.&nbsp;So, whether it&rsquo;s a quick evacuation or a lockdown, here are some essential items that should be in your &lsquo;go bag&rsquo;.&nbsp;
First of all, you need a sturdy bag pack&nbsp;where&nbsp;you can store everything and&nbsp;it should&nbsp;be&nbsp;easy to carry.&nbsp;
Once you have a bag, start off with&nbsp;survival&nbsp;gear. You can add a Swiss knife or multitool,&nbsp;first aid kit, a flashlight with extra batteries, phone charger or power bank,&nbsp;a&nbsp;whistle&nbsp;and&nbsp;lighter or waterproof matches.&nbsp;
Next is&nbsp;protective&nbsp;gear. You need N95 masks, a raincoat or poncho, gloves, a hand sanitiser, a light jacket, a change of clothes&nbsp;and maybe a small tent.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Also add in a bag of&nbsp;toiletries&nbsp;with&nbsp;some soap, sanitary wipes, toothpaste and toothbrush. Don&rsquo;t forget sanitary pads or tampons, depending on your needs.
Keeping important&nbsp;documents&nbsp;together&nbsp;is&nbsp;essential. Store a copy of medical prescriptions, passports or ID, a printed list of emergency contacts&nbsp;as well as some cash in a waterproof bag.
Lastly, you need to stock some&nbsp;food and water.&nbsp;You should ideally carry dry,&nbsp;camping style eatables like snack bars,&nbsp;biscuits, nuts and anything with a longer shelf life.&nbsp;Make sure to refresh the perishables in your go bag every few months so that the food&nbsp;doesn&rsquo;t expire.
Beyond this, you can get as creative as you want based on your personal emergency needs.
