Brazil football clubs clear pro-Bolsonaro blockades after police's allege failure

The road blockades on Brazilian roads placed by Jair Bolsonaro's supporters were cleared by football clubs after police failed to take action.
Pro-Bolsonaro factions alleged poll fraud after their leader lost the presidential contest to Lula Da Silva.&nbsp;
At least four football associations, according to Brazil media removed barricades in the form of tires from roads, ahead of a game.
These clubs are being hailed as pro-democracy symbols for acting against chaos.
In the wake of massive disruptions that led to flight cancellations, fuel shortage, Brazil's Supreme Court on November 1 ordered the federal highway police to immediately clear hundreds of roads across the country blocked by truck drivers protesting President Jair Bolsonaro's loss in the October 30 election.
The highway police in response claimed to have removed 600 blockades, contrary to purported videos on social media that showed police encouraging the protest.
Top court's November 1 ruling also accused the highway police of &ldquo;omission and inertia".

The ruling BJP in Manipur received another boost on Thursday when prominent Manipuri film star RK Somendro Singh, popularly known as Kaiku, joined the saffron party along with 40 co-actors and associates from the film community.
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh welcomed 40-year-old actor and the co-actors to the BJP at a function held at the BJP office in Imphal.
RK Somendro Singh had contested the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat in 2019 as an independent candidate. Before the Lok Sabha polls, he was the vice president of the Manipur unit of late Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party.
The 60-member Manipur assembly will be going to the polls on February 27 and March 3. The votes will be counted on March 10.
The BJP, which formed the last government in alliance with regional outfits, is this contesting alone on all 60 seats.
