Two days after his party's alliance with the BJP ended in Haryana, Jannayak Janata Party leader Dushyant Chautala on Thursday met former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh.
It was immediately not known what transpired in the meeting.
JJP sources said that it was "purely a courtesy call". They said the two leaders met for nearly 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, JJP is drawing up its strategy to contest the Lok Sabha polls in Haryana on its own. In this regard, the party has planned to hold meetings of two Lok Sabha constituencies every day over the next five days, the sources.
On Wednesday, JJP chief Ajay Singh Chautala had said his party worked with full honesty to fulfil the 'gathbandhan dharma' over the last four and half years of the alliance and his party was never power hungry.
His statement had come after the BJP-JJP alliance ended with the national party replacing Khattar with Nayab Singh Saini as the Haryana chief minister.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, announced that starting April 1, 2024, sunflower oil will also be made available on demand to BPL card holders of the state.
Providing updates on the initiatives in the interest of BPL cardholders, the Deputy Chief Minister said even after increasing the income limit in the state, about 57 lakh new beneficiaries have come under the ambit of BPL. As the Deputy CM overseeing the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, he highlighted the state government's decision to raise the income limit for BPL cardholders from Rs 1.20 lakh annually to Rs 1.80 lakh two years ago.
Responding about the concerns raised by some people about a decrease in the number of BPL beneficiaries, Chautala clarified that before the revision of the limit in December 2022, there were 26,94,484 BPL cards and 1,22,12,778 beneficiaries. Following the limit revision, as of January 2024, the number of BPL cards has increased to 44,86,954, with beneficiaries reaching 1,79,44,045. In total, approximately 57 lakh beneficiaries have been newly added to the BPL list.

PTI,&nbsp;Chandigarh:&nbsp;Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Tuesday said he has tested positive for coronavirus, adding that he was asymptomatic and feeling alright.
Chautala, a JJP leader, urged people who had met him during the past week to get themselves tested.
"My COVID-19 test report has returned positive. There are no symptoms of COVID-19 like fever etc, but as the report is positive, I am self-isolating," he said in a message on Twitter.
Earlier, Chief Minister M L Khattar, some ministers, Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and a few legislators and MPs from the state had also contracted the infection and later recovered.&nbsp;
