The makers of Dulquer Salmaan starrer &lsquo;King of Kotha&rsquo; have postponed the release of the film&rsquo;s trailer after the death of Malayalam filmmaker Siddique on August 8. The trailer of the movie was earlier scheduled to be released on August 9.
Dulquer's Wayfarer Films shared a statement on their Twitter handle that read, &lsquo;Due to the demise of director Siddique, the launch of KOK trailer has been postponed.&rsquo; The team also extended their heartfelt condolences to Siddique's family and his loved ones.
&lsquo;King Of Kotha&rsquo;, Dulquer Salmaan&rsquo;s dream project, has been directed by Abhilash Joshiy.
Dulquer Salmaan also expressed his condolences after Siddique's death on social media. His father Mammootty worked on several films with director duo Siddique and Lal.
'King Of Kotha' promises to be a mass entertainer. The film is being co-produced by Dulquer Salmaan film under his home banner Wayfarer Films. 'King of Kotha' is also backed by Zee Studios.
The movie also stars Shahul Hassan as Prasanna, Aishwarya Lekshmi as Tara, Nyla Usha as Manju, and Chemban Vinod Jose as Ranjith. Gokul Suresh will play the role of Tony, Shammi Thilakan plays Ravi, Shanthi Krishna is roped in to play Malathi and Anikha Surendran is Rithu.

It will be an early 2023 release.’ 
The actor expressed his wish that the producers re-release ‘Gadar Ek Prem Katha’ in theatres He said, ‘I think they should put that out again on the big screen so that today’s generation can see the film and judge for themselves what it (the euphoria) was.’

Dulquer Salmaan, who visited Kashmir for the first time to shoot for his forthcoming film ‘Sita Ramam,’ said the place is breathtakingly beautiful and he felt like he was 'stepping into a photograph or a painting or a film.''It's hard to take in the depth and beauty of Kashmir with your eyes and believe you are witnessing it in person. It's tha awe inspiring. In a heartbeat I would like to visit Gulmarg and Pahalgam.'
During the Kashmir schedule of the film, the crew shot in the picturesque locations like Thajwass Glacier, Dal Lake, Jalali House, Rockstar House and others. The film’s director Hanu Raghavapudi said, 'Kashmir is definitely the ‘Paradise on Earth.' He said that the local people were friendly, gentle, helping and welcoming. 'We shot during the beginning of the second phase lockdown with covid restrictions, yet the police and government allowed us to complete the shoot as per the plan with covid protocols in place. We finished our shoot schedule as per our exact plan. We even got the chance to indulge in some local food and experience a new culture,' he said.

'Guns and Gulaabs' has been helmed and bankrolled by director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. The upcoming Netflix series revolves around crime and romance and has been set in the backdrop of the 90s.

Owing to recent developments and the spike in Covid-19 and Omicron cases, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the release of ‘Salute’. We apologise if we’ve disappointed you. But in times like this we must prioritise health and safety. We request everyone to stay safe. We will be back. At the earliest. We thank each and every one of you for your support,” read the statement released by Wayfarer Films.
