As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, 'Dream Girl 2', starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, collected ₹7.75 crore on Raksha Bandhan. It stands at ₹59.75 crore after six days of its release.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; was released in theatres on August 25 and it opened to positive reviews. The film had a great start at the box office in its opening weekend and has managed to hold well during weekdays as well.
As per early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, the film collected ₹7.75 crore on Raksha Bandhan. It stands at ₹59.75 crore after six days of its release.
The film faces tough competition at the box office from Sunny Deol&rsquo;s &lsquo;Gadar 2&rsquo; which has been running in theatres for almost three weeks now, and on Raksha Bandhan, the film made Rs 8.75 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. This takes the film&rsquo;s domestic nett collection to Rs 474.5 crore.
Talking about the wonderful performance of &lsquo;Dream Gilr 2&rsquo; in the first week, Ayushmann told ANI, &lsquo;In the last 3 months, mid-budget and small-budget films are also running successfully. Earlier people used to feel that only big-budget movies would run. So, the timing of the movie is correct and it came in between Jawan and Gadar 2 but still made its own space and this will be the biggest victory of Dream Girl 2.&rsquo;
On playing Pooja on-screen, he said, &lsquo;If the story is good and impactful, then not only girl but you will be ready to become a dinosaur. Actors want to undertake tough and challenging work. Previously, actors like Kamal Haasan sir, Govinda sir, and Aamir Khan sir have also played female characters, but for this role, I have competition with Madhuri, Sridevi, and Hema Malini. Because I thought I wouldn&rsquo;t be able to do justice if will kept male actors in mind.&rsquo;

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; is inching towards ₹50 crore club at the domestic box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial earned over ₹4 crore on its first Monday.
The film opened at the box office in India at ₹10.69 crore and earned ₹14.02 crore on its second day and ₹16 crore on its third day.
As per early estimates, &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; earned ₹4.70 crore nett in India on its fourth day, taking the total collection to ₹45.41 crore.
&lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; was released in theatres on August 25 and it faces tough competition from films like &lsquo;Gadar 2&rsquo; and &lsquo;OMG 2&rsquo;.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann has dropped a new version of &lsquo;Mai Marjawangi&rsquo; song from the movie.

Besides Ayushmann and Ananya Panday, &lsquo;Dream Girl&rsquo; 2 also stars Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav.
After the film earned over ₹40 crore, Ayushmann remembered his late father, P Khurana and shared how he motivated him to become a good actor.
&nbsp;&lsquo;I wish my father was here to experience this. Dream Girl was his favourite film. He was very proud of how I attempted something so different. I remember he was in splits while watching the film. He had predicted that the film will be a roaring success. I wish he could have watched Dream Girl 2 too,&rsquo; he said, as per ANI.
&lsquo;I know he would have loved it and I would have loved watching him laugh again with all his heart. His laughter was infectious and he was my biggest supporter. His unflinching faith in me has made me who I&rsquo;m today. I walked the path less travelled because he told me that I was the creator of my own destiny and that I should always do what my heart says. I know he is blessing me from above. His profound words will always resonate with me &lsquo;beta public ki navz samjho (understand the people)&rsquo;,&rsquo; he added.

The video shows them working out in a gym and quizzing each other about the reason for prepping hard. Tusshar mentions he has a special date soon, while Sanjay says he&rsquo;s working out for pooja.

Talking further about jumping to comedy from his otherwise social-drama, he said, &lsquo;It is the same genre of unconventional subject, out-of-box characters and bringing some novelty on screen. Around 25-30 years ago, Kamal Haasan sir and Govinda did it, but this is refreshing in the current generation, so I am excited. But this is that brand only but it has a wider palette and is more massy. Other than that all my films have always been middle-of-the-road cinema, this is front-bencher massy.&rsquo;

Following the tradition of talking to famous characters of upcoming movies, this time Pooja gets a call from Ranveer Singh's Rocky from Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'.
In the promo, Rocky is heard praising Pooja for her saree and he then compares her with World Cup for returning after four years.

The teaser of &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo;, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, was unveiled on the eve of Valentine&rsquo;s Day. It teases the new Dream Girl without revealing her face. However, it is evident that this time Ayushamann is not just talking like a girl, but is also dressed as one.
It opens with a woman sitting on the bed with her back to the camera. She receives a call from Pathaan who wishes her on Valentine's Day. He says, &lsquo;meri Jawan aa aarahi hai (my Jawan is releasing)&rsquo; and asks her about when would she be coming. She reveals her plans of coming on July 7.
Taking to Instagram, Ayshmann wrote 'BREAKING NEWS: @pooja___dreamgirl is back!#7KoSaathMein dekhenge!#DreamGirl2 releasing in cinemas on 7th July, 2023'.
The sequel of the 2019 hit film 'Dream Girl' also stars Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles. The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 23, bit it is now set to hit the theatres on July 7.
