<p>Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer 'Dream Girl 2' was released in theatres on August 25 and it opened to positive reviews. The film witnessed a growth in its domestic box office collection on Day 2. According to Sacnilk.com, the film minted ₹14 crore on August 26, higher than what Gadar 2 had earned on the same day, which marked day 16 if its release. <p>As per Industry tracker Sacnilk&rsquo;s early estimates, the film has earned Rs 9.7 crore on its day one. The film is a sequel to &lsquo;Dream Girl&rsquo; that released in 2019 and was a big hit at the box office.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo;, Ayushmann Khurrana plays Karamveer aka Karam who is disguised as Pooja while Ananya plays his love interest. The film hit the theatres on August 25.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sharing the first look of Ananya Panday from &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo;, the makers wrote, &lsquo;Presenting humare Karam ki Dream Girl, PARI.&rsquo;</p>

<p>The makers of &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; unveiled a new poster of their film on July 31 in which they introduced Ananya Panday as &lsquo;Karam ki Dream Girl, PARI&rsquo;.</p>
<p>The poster shows Ayushmann in a peculiar persona. Only his face is visible to the audience as he emerges from behind a curtain, while Ananya can be seen looking at Ayushmann&rsquo;s character.</p>
<p>The &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; teaser will be unveiled on July 31, while the official trailer will be out on August 1.</p>
<p>Soon after the makers unveiled the new poster, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons. Actor Shanaya Kapoor commented, &lsquo;Love it.&rsquo;</p>
<p>&lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; will be released in theatres on August 25. Earlier, the movie was scheduled to be released in July.</p>
<p>However, it was delayed due to the extensive VFX work required for the film.</p>
<p>Speaking about the decision, producer Ektaa R Kapoor said, &lsquo;We want Ayushmann Khurrana&rsquo;s character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, and that&rsquo;s why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face. We want to ensure that our viewers get the best possible experience when they watch the movie. The VFX work for &lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; is an integral part of the movie, and we want to ensure that we deliver a high-quality product to our audiences.&rsquo;</p>
<p>&lsquo;Dream Girl 2&rsquo; is the sequel to the highly successful film, &lsquo;Dream Girl&rsquo;, which was released in 2019.</p>
<p>Besides Ayushmann and Ananya, the film stars Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manjot Singh and Vijay Raaz among others.</p>
