If the deal materialises, Tata digital is likely to receive the amount over two years. According to Bloomberg, the group has asked Tata digital to look for ways to boost the valuation of the super app. Discussions are still going on and the conglomerate could still change the size and timeline of a deal.&nbsp;
However, neither Tata group nor Tata digital has confirmed the news.&nbsp;
Tata Neu went live in april last year. The super app was modeled on China&rsquo;s ubiquitous Alipay and WeChat but ran into technical glitches and customer complaints soon after its launch. Tata Neu is expected to meet just half of the sales target in its debut year.

The India Inequality Report 2022, 'Digital Divide' says that the reach of digital technologies remains largely to men whereas women still use handsets that are less expensive and are only limited to phone calls and messages.
The report also highlights that digital inequality is based on caste, income and education. Moreover, possession of a digital device in a household is decided by the man of the family.

The digital adoption rate in India stood at 85 percent whereas it was just 64 percent globally, highlighted by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at the ongoing spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
Sitharaman highlighted India's performance in the digital world and the government's efforts to build the digital infrastructure framework over the last decade, stressing the increase of the digital adoption rate in India during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"If I use 2019 data, the digital adoption rate in India is about 85 percent. But globally that same year it was only somewhere near 64 percent. So the pandemic time actually helped us to test and prove for ourselves that it is simple to use, common people can use it, and adoption actually was proven," Sitharaman asserted.
Apart from her official engagements with the World Bank, IME, G20, and Financial Action Task Force (FATF), Sitharaman on Monday also attended an event at the Atlantic Council, a think tank based in Washington DC.
