Actor Arjun Rampal has for the first time opened up about the failure of &lsquo;Dhaakad&rsquo; which was a big-budget film. Arjun believes that since the movie was released post-pandemic, people were scared to go to the theatres.
&lsquo;It was an expensive film, so yes it does hurt when it doesn&rsquo;t do well. I don&rsquo;t think it deserved to do the kind of numbers that it did. People were sceptical at that point in time. Dhaakad was one of the first few films to come out post-pandemic. People were maybe scared to go to the theatres,&rsquo; said in his latest interview.
&lsquo;We can&rsquo;t even say that, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did really well. Maybe we released with the wrong film. Every film has it&rsquo;s destiny, and you just have to accept it and move on. The reality is the reality. But the film is there, I am proud of it, it is not a film I won&rsquo;t be proud of. As long as you take that much away from a film, you are in a good space,&rsquo; he added.
The actor also talked about the pressure big-budget films face to perform well. He said that he likes to watch content-driven films. He said, &lsquo;that&rsquo;s my choice. I am very glad Pathaan has done so brilliantly, we all needed it, the industry needed those numbers. You cannot say box office numbers are not important.&rsquo;

Yesterday (May 20) saw the release of two most awaited films of recent times- &lsquo;Dhaakad' and &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'. While &lsquo;Dhaakad' stars&nbsp;Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' stars&nbsp;Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Within hours of its theatrical release, both the films were available online on Tamilrockers and a few other Torrent sites.
This is not the first time that films have fallen prey to piracy. There have been many instances when the films were available on Torrent sites immediately after their theatrical release. And this is not restricted to Bollywood films alone. Just a couple of weeks back, even the Hollywood flick &lsquo;Doctor Strange In The Multiverse&nbsp;Of Madness&rsquo; also got leaked online after its release.
Besides Kangana Ranaut, &lsquo;Dhaakad' also stars Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal in important roles. The film has been directed by Razneesh Ghai. On the other hand, besides Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' also stars Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles.

A few days ago, the film trailer of Kangana Ranaut starrer &lsquo;Dhaakad&rsquo; was released. The impact of the trailer was so huge that even Hollywood&rsquo;s popular YouTuber Jaby Koay and famous writer Chris Gore praised Kangana in the trailer. The makers of the film have now released the film&rsquo;s first track &lsquo;She&rsquo;s on fire&rsquo;. For the occasion, the makers even erected a 25-feet cut out of Kangana and Arjun, which was unveiled at the grand event in Jaipur.
