The patient had come to the hospital, complaining about a sudden loss of vision in one eye, 15 days after his recovery from the vector-borne disease, according to the hospital's statement.&nbsp;
Mucormycosis post dengue is a new observation and hence, patients with a recent history of dengue should remain actively updated about their health and consult a healthcare expert immediately after noticing any new symptoms, doctors at the Apollo hospital said.
The case comes amid a huge spike in the number of dengue cases in the national capital.
According to a civic report on vector-borne diseases released on Monday, nine deaths and a total of 2,708&nbsp;dengue&nbsp;cases&nbsp;have been recorded this season till November 6, which is the highest count since 2017 for the same period.

BJP MLA from Firozabad Manish Asija on Tuesday claimed that the death toll due to suspected dengue in the district has risen to 44.
The UP government has rushed in a team of 15 doctors from Lucknow&nbsp;that held a meeting with officials of the district administration and the health department. It also conducted tests in the affected areas of the district.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited some dengue patients in the district on Monday.&nbsp;He said that the deaths will be probed by a team from King George's Medical University in Lucknow and a surveillance team so that the reasons can be ascertained.
The chief minister had also told reporters that the first case was detected on August 18.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate has ordered closure of all schools for classes 1 to 8 till September 6 due to the suspected outbreak.

A suspected dengue outbreak in UP's Firozabad has left over 40 children dead in less than 2 weeks.
BJP MLA from Firozabad Manish Asija on Tuesday claimed that the death toll due to suspected dengue in the district has risen to 44.
The UP government has rushed in a team of 15 doctors from Lucknow&nbsp;that held a meeting with officials of the district administration and the health department. It also conducted tests in the affected areas of the district.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited some dengue patients in the district on Monday.&nbsp;He said that the deaths will be probed by a team from King George's Medical University in Lucknow and a surveillance team so that the reasons can be ascertained.
The chief minister had also told reporters that the first case was detected on August 18.
Meanwhile, the District Magistrate has ordered closure of all schools for classes 1 to 8 till September 6 due to the suspected outbreak.

14 cases of Zika virus have been reported in Kerala that is already <a href="https://www.editorji.com/story/govt-over-half-of-india-s-total-covid-cases-are-from-kerala-maharashtra-1625844291461" target="_blank">battling the second wave of Covid-19</a>.
Among the infected was a 24-year-old pregnant woman who was diagnosed with the mosquito-transmitted disease on Thursday. Hers was the first case of the Zika virus in the Kerala.
The symptoms are similar to dengue and they include fever, rashes and joint pain.
Joint Health Secretary Lav Agarwal on Friday said that the union health ministry is closely monitoring the situation in Kerala and has sent a six-member team to support the state government.
Kerala Health Minister Veena George said an action plan has been drawn up to control the spread of Zika virus.

10 Hafte-10 Baje-10 Minute: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind&nbsp;Kejriwal&nbsp;launches anti-dengue&nbsp;campaign in the capital

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched his government's anti-dengue campaign, which is now in its second year, on Sunday.
Called '10 Hafte-10 Baje-10 Minute', the campaign aims to tackle dengue and other vector-borne diseases like chikungunya and malaria.
As a part of the initiative, the Chief Minister inspected his house for stagnant water and urged citizens to do the same for the next 10 weeks. Delhi had reported 2036 cases of dengue and two deaths in 2019.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, other members of the Aam Aadmi Party and volunteers also joined the drive and posted photos of themselves on social media.
People are expected to take out 10 minutes, every Sunday at 10 am for 10 weeks to check for accumulation of any stagnant water in their homes.
